Their carer finds them all the time, standing on a stool to stir pasta they’re making, muffling their cries with a teddy bear or cleaning up their own scraped knees. And carer is trying to be patient, rushes in and tries to take over so kiddo knows they’re not alone and they’re being taken care of now.

regressors in high school (oh lord bless ya hearts i dont miss that)

regressors who have to snap out of headspace or stay silent because of family or friends walking in or needing them for something.

regressors who finally regress at night, but are too tired to do anything other than stuffie cuddles, a show, and some sleep.

regressors who dream of the day they can have all the little gear they want

though every rat is special, it's a wonderful and unusual thing for their accomplishments to be remembered and cherished by so many people so many years later. we're all so fortunate to know about the rat who banged out the tunes!
