Happy birthday adi !!!!!

Thank you friend!! Losing Leonard would be the end of the world for poor Laura Lee. She’s in hysterics. Usually such a peaceful and well behaved little, it’s a huge change. Everyone understands of course, Leonard means everything to little Laura Lee. She sobs for hours when she realises she can’t find him. Everyone offers her their stuffies to try soothe her but nothing works. That night she insists, tearily, that she can’t possibly sleep without him. After fruitless hours of trying to get her to sleep in her own bed, Van carries her down to the living room and puts the tv on quietly to soothe her. She ends up falling asleep eventually with the original MLP show playing quietly in the background - laying on Van’s chest with her cheeks all puffy and red. The next morning is tears all over again. She’s still missing Leonard only now she’s overtired too. Everyone is turning the house upside down but nothing is working. Laura Lee actually throws a tantrum - and everyone’s pretty sure it’s the first of her life. She throws all the toys anyone offers and when Lottie tries to pick her up Laura Lee throws herself on the ground. Eventually they calm her slightly - Shauna writes a letter ‘from Leonard’ saying he has gone on a biiig adventure!

For Lottie her birthday always makes her regress very young! She prefers to have a calm day for her birthday - with everyone at home. Playing games, baking, watching movies, it doesn’t really matter as long as her people are around her! Whenever she gets gifts she mainly just loves to play with the paper, boxes and ribbons! One year she gets a big doll house and spends all morning giggling as Van jumps in and out from behind the box pretending to disappear. She loves when a ribbon gets tied around Wasp’s collar and always ends up with one messily wrapped around her head. Balloons are also the most fun for baby Lot! Her siblings will race around the living room to avoid letting them drop on the floor and she crawls around giggling whenever it bumps her! Usually she’s too small to dress herself - so they get her in something soft and cozy + a shirt Laura Lee made her which says “birthday girl” on the front!!

Home: Lottie (she prefers something low-key and soothing, just wanting to spend time with her family), Laura Lee (gets a bit flustered from all the birthday attention, loves to spend the day baking and having a tea party in the backyard), Nat (never feels like she deserves something big for her family and refuses to let anyone plan something - of course they always make is a special day in ways that don’t overwhelm her)

Beach: Mari & Gen (their birthdays are super close in summer and they both love the beach so they go up for a weekend and spend the whole time swimming and having such fun!)

Park: Akilah (picnic!! She loves getting to play out in the grass and look for bugs and animals!), Van (theu drive extra far to go to a park where dogs aren’t allowed), Robin (loves looking at flowers and making daisy chains!), Mel (they go to a skate park with a scooter and bike track so everyone can have some fun!)

Lottie: Baby toys, stuffies, blankies and anything soft. She doesn’t mind really for material things but getting to spend her birthday with her family is particularly important for her.

Shauna: so, so many books! Little ones and big ones

Jackie: calico critters and dolls clothes - she’ll usually spend some time with Laura Lee before her birthday looking through a book of sewing patterns to pick out some things she wants and Laura Lee makes them for her!

Laura Lee: fabrics! And she’d love a new tea set, and maybe some friends for Leonard! She really loves birthday cards and keeps them up for ages after her birthday!

Tai: she adores puzzles and is always wanting new ones so definitely some new ones. She loves doing complex ones even when small. Maybe some activity books too and stuffies of course!

Van: would be so excited for a new video game, and a new hot-wheels track!!

Mel: clothes for her stuffies stuffies!! And stickers for her skateboard. Maybe some new dinosaur toys

I had so much fun with this!
