Oh gee, is it shocking that a character who was already planning to move to New Jersey at the beginning of the season and only changed her mind because her mom got a boyfriend and meanwhile her mom had been calling her incessantly throughout the season like chekhov’s cell phone, is it really that shocking she’s still leaving after all? Is it?

Are we going to do this every year as cast comes and goes like it does in a real workplace? There will be very few cast who stay from day one to finale. This isn’t a comfort show and trying to force it into that box is bound to result in a miserable fandom experience for everyone.

oh, victoria. the pressure cooker child, the prodigy, and now the failure and the fuck-up. conditional love when she doesn't meet her mother's perception of perfect. victoria who's not allowed to have her own set of wants and needs, even though she has been the one working so, so hard, missing out on so much just to be anything like her mother wants her to be. but there's no winning. the expectations are unreachable. the pressure has never felt anything like love.

and then there are these kids. and their mother is kind. and their mother is dying. and you don't know what to do with it all. and you feel so awful for hating your mother but you do hate your mother and you wish you had a mother. not yours. one like the mentor that talks to you in a softened voice, or one like the dying cancer patient that loved her kids unconditionally. maybe if you did have a good mother she'd be dying, too. maybe you're awful for thinking such awful things about your mother.

I need Al-Hashimi to be briefed about what happened between Santos and Langdon because her speech about Robby's behavior with Mohan and how it's affected by him being her superior(!!) is so fucking important for understanding what happened between Santos and Langdon and I need EVERYONE (INCLUDING GARCIA!!) to get their heads out of their asses and stop treating Santos like she's being a crybaby about a really fucked up situation with her white, male superior who, and she's correct, should have been FIRED for what he did and she SAVED HIM from that
