Dak opened an eye to look at Kangin as he spoke.
“Why shouldn’t I help you? You’re my best friend.”
Honestly, he’d rather himself be hurt instead of Kangin. The feline closed his eye once more and sighed out lightly. Dak Ho was tough. Kangin was tough too, but … Dak was used to being in difficult spots. He’d had so many things drilled into his head since he was very young. He’d been taught to fight when he was very young and was also taught how to conserve energy when hurt. Sometimes, what he was taught becomes a blessing, other times, it weighs down on him. Being brought up in such a way caused Dak to not really show that many emotions. It was hard for him to laugh or smile.
Paws pressed lightly against the other’s chest. He didn’t mind being held. Granted, he was worried about Kangin moving around on that leg, he was simply too exhausted to protest.
Looking down at the cat he felt something hit him and this caused him to stop a moment in trying to think of how to personally respond to this. Without really thinking much into it, Kangin took time to lean in and placed a gentle kiss on top of the felines head. A small smile planted on lips after doing so. Intensely proud that he had actually done something like that; something that has been needing to be done for some time. It was small, but never really considered on showing the other any type of affection before like this. Maybe like kissing him on the head, but as some other form --- this did not bother him. Going back and doing it again even grinning in attempt to show that he was trying to be happy in this situation in which either of them were actually in pain in some way.
--- " I got to hand it to you though, you looked good fighting those lone wolves. You'll have to teach me your ways, oh wise one."
Knowing that this was not any time to be haha funny but he had that kind of attitude toward anything despite being hurt like he was and limping toward god knows where.
