"We've left shore somehow"

I'd just want to comment a bit on how lovely it is to see Yoshiki and "Hikaru" together again, smiling at each other. It's so beautiful Yoshiki is smiling more often now!

Seeing our entity less lonely with Kouhei was also a nice addition! It seems he's open-minded and accepting in general. So refreshing considering the notion of the majority of the village.

I would just like to say how realistically difficult it is for Nakamura walking around hearing and seeing heterosexual, seemingly happy couples everywhere in the streets while having seen and heard that Hirose has a girlfriend. :( The climax of him leaving home and going to a remote area to let his heart out when the focus in the manga of him and Hirose is on the page where Hirose says "I like you just the way you are" is heart-wrenching and amazing at the same time. He just wants to be accepted and loved for who he is.

I appreciate the fact that this work focuses on such deeper themes from time to time even while being a comedy based work. It's very realistic and common for homosexual people to fall in love with heterosexual people, especially when young. I love this realistic approach on one hand, but on the other I feel sad for Nakamura. :(

There is still one episode left, so I am still hoping for a more positive ending between these two. For all we know, it's not confirmed by Hirose or Hana that they are a couple. Or they may break-up, who knows? I still have my doubts that Hirose is interested exclusively in women anyway, although I totally wouldn't mind and I'd appreciate it as well if he were (for the sake of the realistic approach I mentioned. I haven't read the manga, so please bear with me hehe).

And here, in chapter 47, we have Yoshiki answering him with "I don't care either whether this is (romantic) love or friendship. I don't care if it's normal or not. It doesn't matter to me! Me too, I love you more than anything else/I love you the most."

How could I even begin explaining the tremendous amount of importance regarding our characters this chapter holds? It's such a fresh breath of resolution between Yoshiki and "Hikaru", putting an ending in uncertainties and assumptions which could be found in "Hikaru" after what happened in the cave. And putting an ending in Yoshiki's hesitation to let his feelings and emotions out and allow himself to be vulnerable in front of his person.

What's stricken me much is the fire of Yoshiki's soul dancing in his eyes with such fleece determination and brightness. I don't think we've ever seen him more determined and certain about anything than the fact that "For him too, 'Hikaru' is the one he loves the most", and that 'Hikaru' is the only one who's ever made it feel easier for him to breathe".

The desperation in his shining eyes as he's letting it all out, finally is striking. It feels like catharsis.

He's decided on Hikaru and letting him know he loves him as well. I love the fact that Yoshiki's pupils are dilated here. He's all for it with everything he has.

I also adore the fact that they communicate using telepathy with "Hikaru" maybe asking something of the sorts of "Do you hate me/Don't you hate me?", and Yoshiki reassuring him gently, intimately and simply with a "Mm? Nah, that's not true".

The front cover already embodies once again the tremendous development in Yoshiki's character (I wish it is included in the actual chapter!), but I can't decide not mention his reaction to the person holding him back saying it's dangerous to continue to "Hikaru*, how he just stared at Satpu, and without a word for response to her own sentence, he turned his head to the entity and with such a soft and content smile he approached it by saying "Hey, I'm not scared of you no more". And he let himself willingly be surrounded by it.

Imagine if that was Yoshiki during the first and second act. He'd have a panic attack thinking he'd finally die. :)

The things left unanswered yet are (beware of spoilers and feel free to add more!):

It's nice we got an explanation in the extra panel Mokumokuren drew along with the chapter stating that "Hikaru's" mind was too hazy to resist and/or contemplate of what he was asked. He is weakened and exhausted after all, mentally and physically. He was unable to do anything about it and he hated every bit of it. The tear falling off his eye as he was opening up and Asako hearing his sadness from kilometres away. You can even see it in the shape of his true form's eye. Watching it all unfold was akin to watching someone get abused, harassed, outed without their consent when they loathe what they are. :( The only thing that saved him in that distressed state is seeing Yoshiki and his new haircut. Also, this makes me think about how difficult it was to summon so much willpower while in shambles in order to refuse Yoshiki's wish to kill him, although it was not explicitly stated as a wish by Yoshiki.

I think it was kind of expected the chapter and volume would end with Yoshiki appearing looking fully determined, in rage and ready to cause chaos. I have the thought of him opening the minds of the villagers and accepting "Hikaru" right there and then for all of them to see. I am also thinking of the adults being useful (since Yoshiki doesn't have much faith in them), eventually. Toshinori and Yuki in particular (we didn't seen them in those panels). Yoshikaru have to close the last hole after all, so they don't have much time to dwell on the company. And a proper reunion after all that with an open-hearted conversation between them with no hesitations or doubts, please! Seeing that huge bakery in Tokyo would also be great! Last but not least, I'm really curious of what the consequencea of Satou's wish are going to be.
