"Ah…. about…—- there’s 11 - no 12 - of us all together. Including myself." He said with a small nod. Not alot to some people, but enough for them. If there were to many of them, who knows who would track them down to experiment on them. And it was a comfortable enough number for them to not be so lonely.
"Most of them have grown up in cities like the one nearby, so they feel more comfortable there instead of out here. While I’m the opposite." He said with a small nod. He’s sure if some of them were to meet Dak, then they would get along just fine. But he doesn’t want to spook the other away by introducing him to a bunch he’s probably not used to being around.
"And— are you okay? What were you looking at a second ago?" He asks with a small blink and tilt of his head.
That sounded like a lot of people in a small area. But thinking about it, they were probably all different and unique. Dak assumed none of them were like himself, as Keane here still seemed curious about him. As curious as Keane was about Dak, Dak was just as curious about Keane and this group of beings he lived with.
When asked if he was alright, Dak Ho blinked a bit.
"Ah, yeah. I'm okay. I just ... heard something. It's nothing important."
At this point Dak cleared his throat.
"Let's get going, shall we?"
The shifter got down to the grass covered ground before transforming into a deer. Being a cautious animal would keep him on his feet and make him feel a bit more comfortable meeting other beings. He would also be able to keep track of his surroundings easier. Whatever he had heard earlier had him a bit on edge now.
