MOVING ON UP

i don’t know if i can stress this enough but this dumbass has lost every single case he has ever acquired. if you stumble across a rory bass case it will have the following: at least 5 pieces of paper with nonsensical lyrics, all crumpled, probably torn, illegible; picks, a whole handful; a cigarette, definitely crushed & pathetic; the backstage pass he thought was in his suitcase; finally, a set list with half the songs never played live.

your  ears  are  still  ringing  but  it  feels  already  like  it  was  an  age  away.  it's  bittersweet,  as  if  there  are  only  so  many  more  opportunities  like  this  left;  looking  back,  it  feels  almost  like  a  disguised  farewell,  glossed  over  as  if  to  make  it  sting  less.
