Iāve heard that humans on this web site find vampires āhotā? I donāt get it, theyāre cold, humans are the hot ones.
THEY ARE REFERRING TO THE SCOVILLE HEAT SCALE.
hey. important update on the TERF crawl.
if youāre in the UK, ESPECIALLY scotland, and you see ribbons in PURPLE, WHITE AND GREEN (the suffragette colours) those are TERF symbols. a bunch of terfs on twitter have been putting up these ribbons around places along with calling themselvesĀ āthe new suffragettesā
hereās some examples:
please keep a watch out, and if you see these and you can, cut them down!
(rbs appreciated)
me, every time iām watching a movie in which a character is painfully being laced into a corset: ooh, the historical fashion internet people are gonna be mad about this
Doin shit like that has contributed so much to todayās view on sexism. By blowin this out of proportion to the modern extent, false claims of oppression have made women appear even more weak an utterly brainless than literal oppressors previously thought.
Itās contributin to your own oppression lmao.
It was literally just a full torso bra that held your tits an spine up. Was never that deep.
Though it does make for good telly, donāt it.
We certainly have enough oil to hide behind it.

Seriously. I hope yāall are ok. You can come vent to me, ask for memes, whatever.
Stay strong. Stay safe.
Kinda depressing, but not surprising, that white middle aged men make up 50% of the Chibnall era companions.Ā
Itās weird, because Chibnall clearly believes in having a diverse cast and creative team - itās the one area he has objectively surpassed all his predecessors in - and yet now that the Doctor is no longer a middle-aged white guy herself she suddenly keeps picking them up as companions. The main thing I was looking forward to about S13 was an all-female cast with just the Doctor and Yaz, but apparently we canāt have that.
I donāt think itās because Chibnall feels the show needs a white guy in the cast (though itās possible the BBC felt that way -Ā I can see them being worried the show might lose more of its male audience). I do wonder though if maybe thatās the kind of character he feels most comfortable writing (just as he likes writing for police characters). I mean, look how Graham got the most fleshed-out personality of the fam, look at the inclusion of Roryās dad in Chibnallās S7 episodes. I think he likes writing funny charming older men. Fair enough, heās actually good at that character type, and Iām sure Dan will be enjoyable. But did we need another one, especially when we finally had a chance to really focus on Yaz, develop her relationship with the Doctor, and have an all-female cast for the first time in the showās history?
There is an unfinished piece by Sir Thomas Lawrence in which most of his process is visible. I find it very fascinating, so I tried the same thing with the lovely Ineffables in his style :)
*In the end I actually reconstructed his workflow after painting everything in because we donāt work the same way. What a perverse thing to do...*
The fucking comments on this lmfao
For someone who makes videos about how socialism is bad Dennis praeger sure loves being publically owned

the people who make warrior cats maps should make an animated cats movie
The idea of reincarnation was always interesting to me but not in the way most folks would think about it, I guess?
Like...I donāt want to come back as any particular animal or plant or living being, necessarily. No...I would like to come back as a quiet, curious, and everlasting teddy bear; with my design being heavily inspired by the likes of Pooh Bear, Corduroy, and Paddington! My main purpose, if I were to have one, would be to comfort those in need of care by being a silent yet trustworthy friend. A friend that doesnāt need any words to prove their dedication and love for showing compassion to all those who come across their path. A friend that can be held close in times of necessary physical affection, as well as a silent and proud observer from afar on a bookshelf, in a bedroom. A friend that can be passed from one loving hand to the next, all of the best intentions contained within them from the wishes, hopes, and dreams of every person they touch. A friend that can be passed down from generation to generation. Or from a thrift shop to a collector. Or from a store to a loved one. To me, the symbol of āthe teddy bearā is an important reminder of a personās connection to their inner child, regardless of the details of each individualās actual childhood. The teddy bear can reach into parts of us and find that warm spot that brings us comfort, even if itās for a short time. When was the last time you truly held a teddy bear? What was the texture of them like? Were they old? Were they new? Were they a gift? Did you give them a name or did they come with one, already? Do you collect them? Or do you only keep that one special bear around?
Hmm...itās 1am and this thought has been on my mind all day: if you could choose to live life as anything else in the world, what would it be? You can explain why, if youād like, but just know that no explanation is needed, either! Iām interested to hear what other people think about this little ramble lol
weāre just limitless like that
30DayTheri 28: Punk
Today Iād like to talk about two different -punk identities. While they have different definitions and donāt necessarily need to overlap, I consider myself both and would like to talk about both. The first is voidpunk. Voidpunk is about reclaiming dehumanization. Several marginalized identities are dehumanized- not treated as people, called dehumanizing terms (like freaks, monsters, etc.) and/or excluded from claims of things that are āuniversally humanā or āwhat makes a person a personā (such as romance, sex, etc.). Voidpunk is taking that narrative and reclaiming it, going, āok then, so what if Iām not human on your terms?ā. It is not a kin identity, itās not about literally identifying as that thing, so much as a radical act in the face of social and cultural dehumanization. Voidpunk is not something I access through my therianthropy. Voidpunk for me is the space to explore other things Iām dehumanized for- my body size, my disability, my sexuality, my gender. For me, my voidpunk essence is embodied and visualized through the werewolf archetype. Werewolves help me push back against internalized sexism and expectations that I should be small, dainty, quiet, take up as little space as possible. When I wanted to stop shaving out of a feminist body-ownership perspective, seeing it as my āwerewolf furā helped me relax and feel less self-conscious. Iām sure some trans people share that pull toward transformation and body alteration. From a disability perspective, the werewolf tropes of having regular pain, of fighting against a body that sometimes seems hostile to you, which (since I have spastic hemiplegia) moves and twitches in uncomfortable or uncontrollable waysā¦all of that feels relatable to me. Yes, the canine aspect does tap into my therianthropy and add to how much I relate to werewolves. But in a kin sense, Iām simply and only a dog. In a voidpunk sense, my identification with werewolves is more tied into axes of power and social expectations, and gives me the space I need to be Big, and Hairy and Present, grappling with a body I am trying to manage and accept. Then thereās ontopunk (formerly kinpunk). Whereas voidpunk is about reclaiming societal dehumanization and isnāt necessarily about literal nonhumanity, ontopunk is.Ā Itās about embracing the various flavors of alterhumanity and not treating them as some hierarchy. Itās about unashamedly accepting rare identities, unusual behaviors, eccentric appearances. Itās something I definitely want to be a part of, and hope to increasingly include in my own life. If Iām totally honest with myself I could work a little on my own internalization of labels and divisions thereof, but thatās something I definitely see changing in myself as I engage in broader alterhuman spaces. I also donāt know how much I want to go in for in terms of my own expression and behaviors (increasingly more gear, not sure where my line is on body modification). But itās definitely a philosophy I agree with and want to practice and express more moving forward.Ā
