Occasionally I’ll visit Pinterest and pin a dozen makeup ideas to my tiefling inspo boards.
Occasionally I’ll take four hours to apply something elaborate for Mollymauk.
This was one of those days.
I promised my girlfriend this was a thing.

I sort of just ran around dancing while I ate a honey pastry, but the snow was gorgeous.
Planning to put together more shots while there’s still snow on the coast, if I get a chance.
Gods I hope Ohayocon loved me as much as I loved it. We were very late to the Critter meetup, but got to play around plenty despite, and it was glorious! Then the rest of the day was selfies and snow.
I will always and forever have a long way to go with Molly, but it’s so nice to see him move along and change! Look at that dumb face, that is a good face.

Taking Mollymauk to Teslacon was an amazing experience.
I'm the kind of cosplayer who likes to play in character when I'm in costume, and I've been struggling to find Molly, especially defining where he intersects with me to bring something special of mine to the character. Being able to play with his aesthetic, and play him in a situation where almost no one knew me, meant expectations to "get it right" were gone. It gave me the freedom I needed to really find myself in him.
I experimented with makeup, bought him gaudy jewellery, made silly (and sexy) faces, bellydanced with swords, fudged up his accent, and lived so fully and loudly I thought at times I might burst.
In short, I finally got to be Molly, and I can't wait to do it again.

Steampunk Molly visited Teslacon this past weekend! The coat was very well received, and much comment made on bringing colour to the steampunk aesthetic. I had an absolute blast, and will be planning to do a lot more with this in the future.
Shout out to the handful of people who spoke up about recognising me, too! It was utterly delightful to chat and play with everyone.

I volunteered at True Dungeon at Gamehole Con this weekend! Had a couple of hours’ break Friday, so I took the opportunity to Mollymauk it up! The con was small, but I had a blast. (And met this lovely orcish gentleman.)
