My quick thoughts on Legend of Zelda and Zelink:

My favorite Zelinks are TP, ALBW, OOT, ALTTP, ST, Oracles, EOW, and TOTK!

TP Zelink are my top faves. I just love exploring their relationship. All the interesting ways that they could go about getting together. And just the soft and gentle aspects to their relationship 💚💜

I am the self-proclaimed King of ALBW Zelink lol. I say this because I genuinely believe that I'm one of the few people on planet earth who cares about them. They are just SO underrated. But if nobody in this cold, cruel world will create ALBW Zelink content, THEN I SHALL CREATE THE ALBW ZELINK CONTENT MYSELF!!! (my mission statement lol).

I'm not a big fan of BOTW, but I like TOTK. I know. I'm weird 😂

I like to ship Malink from time to time too! They're cute ❤️

To briefly touch on my faith, I'm a devout Christian ✝️ I read my Bible and treat scripture as the absolute word of God. My beliefs will probably offend you. Sorry not sorry. Love you anyways 🫶

I love RPGs! Please feel free to talk to me about these whenever! There's so many series I'm familiar with. I also love anime and films. My anime tastes are mostly geared towards Shonen, but I love all sorts of stuff. Hunter x Hunter, Attack on Titan, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are among some of my faves. Aside from that, I'm always trying to check out new movies! Feel free to send me good recs, if you have any :D

and last but not least...

Basically, most of TP Zelink boils down to postgame potential, and how similar Link and Zelda's characters are!

Link and Zelda have similar values and personalities imo. They are selfless, kind, and always put others first. We see this in Link, always willing to help his friends and neighbors with their daily chores, and also being willing to become a hero and save his kingdom in crisis. We see this in Zelda, always willing to sacrifice herself for the good of her people. She sacrifices herself to save Hyrule from Zant. She sacrifices herself to save Midna from death. And she always shows so much sympathy and humility in every interaction she has with others.

So I really just think that both Link and Zelda would get along nicely. Sure, they're from different backgrounds, but when it comes down to their goals and values, they are pretty much perfectly in sync. Save others. Stand up for what's right. And they always spare little concern for themselves 🥺

Now let's get to the post game of TP. Zelda owes so much to Link. He's saved everything she's lost. She would be immensely grateful to him and I think she would definitely want to stay in contact. Assuming that Hyrule needs some sort of reconstruction after the invasion, Link could prove to be a big help! Seeing as he's so well connected and respected by the various people of Hyrule. Need to reconnect with the Gorons and Zoras? Ask Link, the man who saved them, to be your ambassador. Need help with the Bulblins? They've already surrendered to Link and might even prove loyal to him. The guy is just such a great asset to have on hand!

Now if we look at Link, I feel like he wouldn't really want to return to his old life in Ordon. Sure, he still loves the place and everyone there, but I think becoming a hero proves to him that he can do so much more good by being a hero. He's skilled with a blade and well connected. He WANTS to help Hyrule. And that goal is so much more meaningful to him than goat herding ever was 😂 So I think he stays in contact with Zelda too. He offers his sword and asks what he can do to help, while also traveling and visiting and just enjoying the freedom that comes with being a hero.

But I think Link also cares a lot for Zelda. I think he can see how lonely/isolated she is and worries about her. He can see that she needs friends she can trust. Someone who can be a comfort when she's going through hardship. So he always makes an effort to check on her, even if she constantly lies claims that she's doing fine ❤️

From there, a really strong friendship is formed. And eventually it turns from affection to attraction and I think they eventually realize that they were kind of made for each other. And that very few people in Hyrule understand them like they understand each other. After all, how many people know about Midna? Or that Link was a wolf? Or that Zelda sacrificed so much? Nobody except for the two of them knows exactly what the other has been through. And that simple fact brings so much understanding, comfort, and camaraderie. And it's beautiful 💚💜

There's some smaller moments in the game too that hints they at least have an interest/concern/loads of trust for each other. Zelda instantly recognizing the human side of Link when she sees him in his wolf form and feeling sympathy for him. Link trusting Zelda in their initial meeting, and Midna later noting that Link seems to be worrying about the Princess 👀 Zelda smiling as she says Link's name and humbly asks him to lend her his strength in the final battle. Zelda placing a calming hand on Link's own when he plans to charge Ganondorf out of fury. Link stealing Zelda's breath away the moment he puts an end to their foe.

And last but not least, there's the fact that at the end of TP's credits, Link rides away from Ordon in his hero tunic. And then the scene immediately shifts to the castle throne room while playing Zelda's theme. And I don't know about you, but to me, that tells me that Link and Zelda, at the very least, experienced some sort of reunion 😌
