tbh I prefer translated medieval and renaissance texts to modern Arthurian legend retellings. sorryyyyyyyy. many of them are straight ass, somehow lacking the nuisance and pizzazz of a text written 1,000 years ago and copied by hand for several centuries.

why doesn't npr give them a larger desk to perform at? are they stupid?

They should do a criterion closet sort of thing where the bands/performers get to go in & choose their tiny desk from a big storage unit full of desks & explain their choice. They do NOT get to keep the desk, unlike criterion, because that is just wasteful. There are perhaps hundreds to thousands of DVDs out there and more can be made still, but probably not as many desks.
