heyβ¦ i donβt usually post things like this, but i could really use some prayers or support right now.
i was disowned by my mom because of her addiction, and iβve been couch surfing trying to stay afloat. itβs been really scary and uncertain.
if youβre someone who prays, iβd really appreciate prayers for me to find somewhere safe to stay β even just a motel for now.
iβm doing my best to keep going and trust that things will work out somehow.

Not my usual sort of post, but please, if any of you pray, please pray for my little sister C. She's dealing with a great deal of pain and despair right now. She's gone through expensive procedures that have made very little difference to her condition and been on multiple medications that have reeked havoc on her mental health but done next to nothing to solve her pain. She was recently engaged and excited to start planning her wedding, but now she's dealing with medical debt and crippling depression. I live a ways away so I can't be there for her much, and I'm so worried.

The story of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Devotion. . έβ βΉ . έΛ . έ
(The devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus comes from a series of visions given by Jesus in the 1600s to a French nun named Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque).
While praying in a convent located in Paray-le-Monial, France, saint Margaret Mary Alacoque began receiving visions of Jesus Christ, who revealed His Heart to her, which was burning with love, surrounded by thorns, wounded, and crowned with a cross. Jesus had told her that His Heart represented His deep love for humanity, and also His sorrow over how often that love is ignored, rejected, and forgotten.
Jesus asked that the world honor His Sacred Heart, not just as an image, but as a devotion through prayer, repentance, Communion, and love. He specifically asked for the Feast of the Sacred Heart, Eucharistic adoration, and devotion to lis Heart as a way for people to return to Him.
Over time, the Church recognized these visions as authentic, and devotion to the Sacred Heart spread throughout the world, officially extended to the universal Catholic Church by Pope Pius IX on August 25, 1856.
The Sacred Heart became a symbol of a God who does not love from a distance, but with a wounded, human heart, a heart that suffers, forgives, waits, and remains faithful even when rejected. It is the image of Christ's love made visible. A love that bleeds, burns, and saves.
