Wonderfully Wonderful Wonder

I love cottagecore, an idealistic life of living in the countryside, and working with earthly ingredients to cook or bake is so dreamlike, like it is too good to be true. This artwork has plenty of goodness! ^^ The kitchen is oozing vibes from the characters to the walls to the outside world. Wonderful! And it is crucial to appreciate exploring the reasons it might be as captivating as it is for the viewer (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

The kitchen is a home, not only for preparing meals. There is so much that screams of a home, like the umbrellas by the door in case it rains, and the most use of existing space, such as the hanging vines/herbs. Signs of life! Btw, I must point out that the table has carvings on it, as if a child had made them in boredom! OwO (They would make for great parents!)

Additionally! Have you looked outside the window? It's summer, and nature is blooming, the trees are growing, and the sun is pouring over the forest. ^^ Remember to touch grass! (Me…) Yet, what sells the outside world to me is the wooden fences, I don't know, but they feel authentic, and really well considered for the background ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌

The love is in the details! There is effort put into each corner, shape, and space of the environment, like the walls, for example, which have carvings in them, as if they have been damaged over the decades of life. Decades! •ᴗ• And even for background props, there is a level of appreciation, like how the jars are different sizes! If you want something to be homely, it needs to have gone through life UwU

Wonderfully Wonderful Wonder

Hiya! I've found something new to adore, an artwork of a thrilling adventure in two separate panels, the warmth of nature, and the coldness of the unknown. And every good adventure starts in a peaceful nature hike, before ending in somewhere polar opposite. It's a wonderfully simple story.

The sense of adventure comes with the use of expressions, the Lamb's confidence radiates, and Narinder's uncertainty of the future is characterised by contrast, the life of art. And it's simple. The Lamb takes a larger portion of the artwork, and Narinder stands in their shadow, behind the iconic cape. It's a way of highlighting the roles.

And I have to say this, but the use of colour is so wonderful, the strokes are bold, taking leaps in faith with the brush of a tree branch, and all the colours meshing together to form a cohesive whole. Genuinely! Look at Narinder's face. The face has white, black, red, grey, and even blue across it with the sweat, hands, and expression, each distinct from the others. It's not an easy task to make them visible, but it looks effortless.

The left side of the bottom layer is calming yet uncertain, as if they have found something peaceful but are lost in a maze, letting it sink in before admitting it. And look at the water! The yellow petals flow across the water as the paddle and boat clash against the surface, making waves. The right side of the panel tho…

Like… What's going on? I originally thought it was a waterwall, like they were in a cave, and they just came behind it, but the more I look at it, the less sense it makes. And now, after hours of looking at it, my best conclusion is that it is a doodle. I have a bad habit of trying to squeeze all the meaning out of something, forgetting the humanity in art, the joy of creating, and especially of creating with friends. Wonderfully Wonderful Wonder

Greetings to everyone! I've found an artwork, which, in my mind, naturally expands on the preexisting characterisation of Midas, a mortal who craves more power, even if he has more of it than a mortal should ever have. Yet… It's never enough for an aspiring but powerful man like himself. And what would be better for power than courting a real deity with a bottle of wine? It better be Burgundy Pinot Noir.

Midas is a mortal, a goldsmith, who worships the Gods of Gold, and a keyword, worships, because he isn't a somebody, but a nobody, who no one believes in, offering his time to a higher being. In return, he is granted power; alas, nothing can stop his greed. No wonder he is enjoying a drink with a real deity, and the way he does it is quite unflattering.

In my mind, Midas is trying to punch way above his league, and the way he tries to is charming on its own. For one, he is trying to stand equal to a deity; the jewel crown on his head is nothing but opulence, holding no meaning because it lacks a soul, even if it sits pretty. How adorable. As a sidenote, I have to add that the environment, Midas's Cave, is impressive for a mortal, but quite boring for a deity with finer taste than gold.

And I do have to compliment the artist, but the chairs are a wonderful treat for the eyes to enjoy, as Kallamar has to sit in a tiny chair made for a mortal, and Midas has to sit in the tallest chair, like a child getting fed in a feeding chair. The contrast is wonderful, highlighting how they are not equals.

However, that's what I think of the artwork, and differences in how we view it are natural. Unfortunately, my aversion towards Midas is blinding my judgment, as he is a great character, someone who naturally fills the role of a minor antagonist.
