I couldn’t decide which version I want on a shirt for myself so I think I’ll get both made! If I make more (once I figure out how? advice welcome!) I’ll look into this one getting a few too!

What these assumptions all have in common?

Both fanboys and antis hate Kylo Ren for the same reason they hated Anakin Skywalker in the prequel trilogy: their notions of manhood have deep patriarchal roots and both these characters clash against them

Anakin and Ben are both emotional men: they cry, they feel too much and they have bursts of anger, they are more driven by their emotional side than their rational – men in patriarchal societies are taught they should suppress their emotions (“men don’t cry”, “man up!”, “learn how to be a man”), and yet Star Wars chose to place these complex and emotional-driven male characters at a central place of its narrative.
