the first ep was so interesting and felt like it had the potential to be something really cool and refreshing, but from then onward my interest just kept dropping.

i feel like the story doesn't utilize its hook enough, the thing that makes it different - the trying to find a wife part. like, yes, we see moments of it, but the potential wives -as well as the villains- have such one-and-done appearances that you really don't get to form a connection with them or get invested in them liking gero. i guess the comedy is supposed to come from that part, the wife search, but it didn't work for me. it's also very combat-heavy, and for an action-heavy anime i don't think it offers anything substantial? the villains are random villain-of-the-day type villains, the backstories are there but perfunctory, and the animation albeit good is not stunning, so there's like... not much to keep one engaged? plus imo kinosaki is severely under-explored.

-a chill watch, a sweet lovely story that makes you smile. the animation was nice, very romance-feely.

-it’s endearing how miyano consistently considers sasaki cool, while sasaki is a total boyfailure. 

-hirano and kagiura are incredibly cute together and i wish we’d seen more of them.

-miyano's conversation with sasaki's sister in the movie is the most adorable, heartwarming thing.
