Madame Yapper

Darkness, dullness, nothing? Only the lamplight, but that's not much... He went from his bedroom to the living room, searching for something, but sounds eluded him. When he got up from his chair, it was 11:19 PM. When he put his watch back in the living room, it was 11:31 PM. It seemed to him that such activities took fewer minutes. He could almost feel time slipping away from him, the remaining minutes of the day shrinking beneath his feet. Perhaps he'd misread the time earlier.

He turned to reach for something, but he no longer knew why. Yes, he was on the second floor of his office, he had something to do. How absurd, he didn't work there! Ground floor, oh, that was better. As he walked to his room, a feeling of dizziness spread around his neck. He'd recently been prescribed new medication, and the dizziness was a funny side effect. He didn't complain; he was actually enjoying himself. He held his arms as if returning from a drunken escapade.

His heart pounded, and he woke up. What a dream, what a nightmare! he thought as he lazily walked to the kitchen to take the new medication he had recently been prescribed.

Some time ago I was on a retreat camp/idk how to call it in English, with kids a few years younger than me, mostly. I was there not really as a participant, more like someone from the cadre, preparing meetings for my group, helping the kids in harder moments, leading the integration evenings, trying to make them really meet and get to know God and eachother.

I came there with the certainty that I would encounter kids completely saturated with the internet, dressing inappropriately for their age.... I thought about everything about them except what I actually saw. Well, maybe except for a few kids who wanted cuddles and needed help and often doing 67.

It's incredible that these children experienced something truly significant spiritually. When they shared their testimonies, although each one was somewhat similar, you could feel it coming from their hearts. They were engaged in prayer, wanted to meditate on the Bible, and take care to look decent before going to church.
