patkey yuri (fem!patrick stump x fem!mikey way)
It was a Tuesday afternoon, post show. My Femical Romance and Fall Out Girl had done a combined show as apart of a contract between their labels, and it stirred up a bit of good tension between the two bands. Patrick had her worries post show, as she had seen Mikey struggling a bit with her asthma in the green room. She sat by her side, as Gerard was checking in with the venue’s medic, who was reassuring both her and Patrick that Mikey would be fine. On the car ride home, all Mikey could think about was Patrick’s warm touch, and her soft arms wrapping around her wiry frame.
“Mikey? You’re zoning out again. You sure you’re okay after that asthma attack?” Gerard asks in a quiet, fearful tone.
“I’m fine. Just a bit hungry. Do you think we could stop somewhere to eat? Maybe Panera for some pasta?” Mikey responds. She notices Gerard switching lanes in order to do a u-turn to head towards the Panera on the opposite side of the road without a second thought.
“I wanted a sandwich anyways. Good choice.” Gerard’s tone was more reassured now, and her hands were a bit less shaky.
The two sisters enter the Panera and Mikey has to order for both of them because despite how Gee acts on stage, she is very socially anxious. After they order, Mikey immediately gasps at the sight of Fall Out Girl sitting at one of the bigger tables in the dining area. She practically sprints over, greeting Patrick with a flurry of hellos. Patrick’s brain melts a bit from the overstimulation, but Pete just lightly kicks her shin to knock her out of her shock.
“Hi, Mikey?” Patrick’s voice quivers slightly, in confusion, it’s the first time Mikey has shown any real interest in her. Mikey basically shoves Pete out of the seat across from Patrick, sitting down there. Thankfully, Pete is able to take her plate with her when she’s rudely moved from her seat. It’s whatever, though, as now she has entertainment for her dinner, watching two awkward nerdy loser lesbians try to interact in a normal human way. Gerard comes to the table after picking up both of their trays from the self service pickup area, and passes Mikey her tray of mac and cheese with the baguette side.
Andy lets Gerard sit next to her, and it just so happens that they chose the exact same meal, so they chat about food while chaos is unfolding between a very flustered Patrick and excited Mikey.
“So, you go to the hair salon on the same street as that comic book store, right?” Mikey says, her eyes totally not focused on Patrick’s face.
“I do, yeah…” Patrick blushes, picking lightly at her sandwich with the toothpick. She just wants Mikey to admit she likes her so it doesn’t stay this awkward the whole time. “Mikey? Can you please just say you like me so I don’t hate how I feel about you?”
“Can I WHAT?” Mikey whisper screams, not wanting to alert her older sister of her crush.
“Just say you like me, please.” Patrick begs.
“Uhh, sure? I really do like you. You’re sweet, smart, talented, and really freaking cool.” Mikey shifts in her seat, before finally picking up her spoon to eat the neglected mac and cheese.
“Thank you. I like you too.” Patrick breathes a sigh of relief, finally letting herself feel calm.
Pete eventually falls asleep after finishing her bread bowl with creamy corn chowder.
Nobody notices until it’s time to clean up and Andy shakes her awake. Mikey and Patrick exchange MySpace IDs and go their separate ways. Once Mikey reaches home, she immediately adds Patrick to number 1 of her top 8 list. Patrick changes her bio to the name of Mikey’s favorite song, and Mikey follows her lead. The two girls spend the whole night messaging each other, and they each fall asleep way past when they were supposed to.
sorry about how short it was, I had no idea about what to write in this, so it’s just a Panera date(?) and loser lesbians and an asthma attack.
668 words, so probably more of a drabble than a real fic…sorry 😓
