Blustery Day | Mabel & Isaac
"No, no, itâs fine. Um, really though." Isaac replied, waving her off with a smile. He didnât mind. She seemed nicer than a lot of the other students. "Besides, itâs not too bad. The wind kind of keeps it cool. Makes it nice." He said, handing the girl back all of her things. It was a rather scrunched up and messy pile, but at least heâd managed to scrape it all together. Make sure nothing had blown away in the dayâs strong winds. They gusted through again, creating a soft howl as it ran through the courtyard. Whipping around the place. Storm after shock in a way. "Iâm uh, Iâm sure it will die down later anyway."
Mabel. Mabel Goldstein. Isaac nearly hit himself in the face. Godric he felt awful. âYeah, it is.â He smiled, trying to cover up the feeling of guilt for not remember who the girl had been. The resemblance was there. So much like her brother, Nathan. Godric, he was sure Nathan had even introduced them before. âNot many of the uh, other students were out, and I love the smell of fresh rainfall. So um, Iâd thought Iâd come enjoy it.â Another gust of wind blew through, and Isaac shivered a bit. That one had been rather chilly, especially when the sun was out. Autumn was coming on quick.
"What about you, Mabel?" The Ravenclaw asked. "Other than uh, working on an essay. Although I think you uh, your thesis was a bit vague, it looked good." He commented. Heâd read the introduction on his way over. He coudlnât help it. Heâd been a bit curious. At least he wouldnât have read it had it been meant as a letter to send by Owl. At least, thatâs what he told himself so he didnât feel like heâd been invading some sort of privacy. "There was uh, no one in the library last I saw. I mean, Iâve seen students do work out here before, but uh, never usually after such a great thundering storm. I bet thereâs a bit of a mess to clean up after something that big." He chuckled.
Mabel gladly took her pile of her things and started sorting through them as Isaac talked to her. A pile for her books a pile for quills and ink, and a pile of loose pieces of parchment that she stuck underneath the pile of books. The wind was not going to win another round. âI donât mind the wind usually. I like listening to it at night⌠Iâm not sure why I thought this would be a good spot to work on something. I suppose I was more concerned about getting my things wet from todayâs rain rather than them actually being blown away.â Mabel laughed as she finished sorting her things into piles.
Mabel looked at the boyâs face and saw a trace of confusion when she said his name. For a brief moment she thought she had mistaken him for someone else, wouldnât be the first time. She then realized he was trying to place who exactly SHE was. That seemed to happen often, Mabel didnât mind, after all she wasnât the most outgoing Ravenclaw. âI noticed a lot of people hanging around the great hall, I guess they are not so fond of this weather, or maybe they realized fighting this wind wasnât worth it. Probably a wise decisionâŚâ
âOh well I usually come out every morning for a stroll, but didnât want to risk the chance of possibly being struck by lightning this morning⌠Kinda want to live you know? I was tired of being in the castle all day, thought I would enjoy working on the essay more outdoors rather than the library or the common room. To many distractions.â Mabel smiled at Isaac hoping she wasnât making a fool of herself. She still sometimes felt self-conscious when talking with other Ravenclaws, worried they may deem her not clever enough to be in their house. His comment about her thesis made her squirm a bit. âYeah I, uhm , I thought I maybe should do something about that⌠I most always rewrite it ⌠The thesis I mean. The start of papers are not my strong suit. I much prefer wrapping everything up with a nice, tidy conclusion.â

Blustery Day | Mabel & Darren
Darren broke off from his friends, unwilling to part just yet but they had classes starting in less than 8 minutes. Having just finished with Divination, Darren felt mentally drained - rather than learning something, he absorbed nothing at all. Studying was simply not for him, apparently.
Quickly traversing the courtyard, he made for his next class, his robes swishing crisply in the air. Ah, it was certainly good to be outside once in a while.Â
Being cooped up in the Castle made him a tiny bit loony, and there were times, his friends could accurately testify, that Darren went absolutely nuts for being kept indoors too long. Last time he checked, he was quite sure he didnât have a fear of closed spaces but it was stifling to say the least.
Some distance ahead, there was a figure flailing around, their things scattering about as a gust of wind blew past them. He heard their cry for help, it sounded more of a demand, really and Darren thought he could indulge the person just this once.Â
He snatched the parchment before it could be carried away and strode towards the other person.
As he drew closer, he noticed that he was dealing with a female, and almost instantly, as if by instinct, his charming nature was brought to the fore. Leave it to Darren Flint to flirt with everything that walked on two legs and had breasts.
"Are you alright, miss? Have you got everything?"
The wind had carried more than her paper away. Mabelâs usual calm and collectedness seemed to have been carried away as well. âREALLY? Is this really necessary?â she whined to no one in particular once she realized the mess she had made. She glanced up from her things that were now scattered about and saw what appeared to be someone holding her parchment.
âOh merlinâs beard you are a lifesaver!â she called out to the boy as he steadily came her way. Thatâs when she noticed the boyâs green and silver tie swinging from side to side as he walked. A Slytherin. Fantastic. Itâs not that she means to judge people based off their house and not their personality, but most Slytherins fit into a certain type of profile, one that she was not keen about. Arrogant and rude are usually the first two things that come to mind when dealing with a Slytherin.
Anyhow, Mabel plastered a warm smile on her face when the boy asked her if she was alright. âI am now that I have my paper back, thanks to you! I hope you didnât have to come too far out of your wayâŚâ Perhaps this boy would not be the typical Slytherin. He actually seemed decent enough, but then again he had barely spoke two sentences.

Blustery Day | Mabel & Isaac
The days stormy weather had awoken Isaac as the soft roll of thunder drummed outside. The splatter of rain on the glass tap tap tapping for him to get up. To see it fall. Isaac could hear the wind blowing outside, and there was a slight chill within his dorm room. The bare and wooden floor was cold on his feet. Freezing his toes. So he stumbled around to slip some socks on, tripping over items he threw about to find a good pair. He was starting to wear holes in the heels and toe ends of the socks to the point his whole foot nearly stuck out of some. But he didnât mind, so long as it numbed the cold.
Rain and bad weather were on the mind today everywhere he went. The smell of rain dampening the earth filled the halls as it died down and doors were opened to allow in a cool breeze. It felt nice, especially during lunch, which had been a very gut warming chicken and dumplings. It made the boy sleepy rather sleepy, but he wished to see the grounds. He loved the grounds after rain. Not a student in sight and grass glittered with beads of dew. Trees would creak and rustle under the breeze.
His peace was only disturbed when a piece of parchment slapped at his leg, wrapping and curling around it as it tried to move past. To be carried by the wind. Isaac grabbed it quickly, and held it up as he noticed another student calling to him. He strolled over, smiling, and handed over the parchment to its owner. âI uh, I found something of yours?â He continued smiling, looking around to see the mess sheâd created trying to save everything from the windâs wrath. He bent down and began to pick everything up. âYou know, uh, itâd be better if you had like, a paper weight? Or study inside. Less likely to lose stuff to the wild.â He chuckled. âWell, the unknown wild instead of the students inside.â
âOh gulping gargoyles!â Mabel could not believe the predicament she had gotten herself into. She had just wanted to spend some peaceful time outside the castle. So far her experience had been anything but peaceful. Gratefully, she realized someone had managed to catch the flyaway parchment. âOh thank goodness, I had such a nice start on the darn paper and I really didnât want to begin again.â Mabel said rapidly and a bit ruffled as she spoke to the boy walking towards her. She looked away from the boy, a tad embarrassed that she was so caught off guard due to a little wind. That is when she realized what a mess she had made.
The boy had also seemed to notice the mess, adding as the muggles say, insult to injury. She shuffled to the side hoping that the boy would ignore the complete disaster that was her school things, but to no avail. Before she could say anything else the boy was already bending down and gathering up her things. âOh uh thank-you. I can get it though, really⌠Silly that I, uh, you know, came out. With the err wind and everything.â Mabel cheeks flushed as the boy continued cleaning up her mess. âOh well it looks like you have it under control I suppose...â She looked from the boy to the paper in her hand and was at a bit of a loss as what to say.
âOh a paper weight! Thatâs a great idea. Iâm sure thereâs a rock around here somewhere.â Mabel looked around for a moment then spotted a nice gray stone. She picked it up and placed it on the stack of paper that the boy had set down on the bench. âHere we go, this should be better. Uh thanks again for grabbing my paper, and my other things to. I forgot that this part of the grounds can be such a wind tunnel.â She smiled and placed some of her supplies back in her bag. âItâs Isaac right? So what brings you out on a day like today?â
Falling Away | Sera and Mabel
"Itâs probably everyone who has ever gone to Hogwarts ever." Sera laughed. "Including the Slytherin who did it. Someone had to find out the spell was still there didnât they." She pointed out. "I swear I have to use the bloody staircase to get to every class." She said sourly. "Iâm surprised I donât trip on it more honestly. I mean, itâs not like Iâve got long legs." She gestured to her short legs. She was short in general, so itâs kind of hard not to have stubby legs when youâre 5â2". Sera smiled a bit at the girl, feeling herself calm down. Or at least less sad and panic-y. "I would say you donât have to do that, but it may be good for you in the long run." She said with a sigh. It was nice to meet someone who rambled just as much as her. A bit of a relief honestly.Â
"No, Iâll be fine." Sera said waving her off and then plucking a light blue potion from her bag. She always carried one with her in case she or someone else had a panic attack. It didnât happen often, but it never hurts to be prepared. She had actually only ever had one, but it was an experience she never cared to repeat. "Donât ask." She said before drinking the potion quickly. Her favorite part was the taste of strawberries. She really only took it to calm the poor girl around. Maybe she should have brought another one for herâŚ
"Oh, thanks!" She said, surprised. She hadnât even thought to use accio. Instead she had been figuring out which stair cases to use to get to the platform below. Guess she was still in muggle mode. Sera stepped off the platform and sat down on the marble, far away from the edge. âIâm just going to sit here. Not on the staircase, but also not bothering to walk anywhere.â She said decisively. âIâm really only going to the⌠kitchens, so Iâll just sit here. You can join me if youâd like.â She was going to tell her about the Room of Requirement, but that seemed too lengthy of an explanation for her addled brain.
âThe stairs are not my favorite thing about Hogwarts thatâs for sure. The other day I was nearly late for charms because the damn stair case kept moving back and forth between two platforms. Itâs maddening.â Mable sighed shaking her head. âYou know what would be really great? One of those, oh what do you call them? They move kind like the staircase here but straight up and down, muggles use them!â Mabel had been around muggles all of her life of course, but when it came to naming their inventions she was awful at remembering. Â
Even though she had offered to take Sera to the hospital wing, Mabel was relieved that the girl happened to have the potion with her. Truth be told, she was not a fan of anything relating to that part of the castle. She had never spent much time there; just every now and then she would need to stop when she had the case of the sniffles. Even though she never had to stay long, she dreaded going. âGot any more of those in there?â she asked lightheartedly. Now that Sera had seemed to be returning to normal, not that she really knew what the girls normal was, Mabel began to relax and picked up her own bag off the floor that she had dropped in haste to check on the girl.
Mabel looked at the girl with a slightly confused expression, she didnât understand if the girl meant she was going to sit or go to the, what did she say? Oh yeah, kitchens. âYeah it would be, uh, it would be great if you donât mind me hanging around with you a bit⌠Divination homework is something I tend to put off till the last minute. Which is usually unlike me, I mean the whole putting homework off till the last minute thing. I just⌠Divination is not my favorite subject. What year are you in? Oh and if you donât mind me asking, what is happening in the kitchens?  I have never been down there⌠5 years here and never even bothered to check them out! Iâm dreadful at baking though. My dad always says I probably could burn water⌠Itâs true.â
Blustery Day | Mabel & OPEN
Mabel was contentedly settled in her favorite nook of the Ravenclaw common room reading a book of unusual cases that had been presented to the Wizengamot. An hour had gone by before she put the book down and realized that she had been inside the castle all day and it was nearly time for dinner. She usually took a 30 minute walk each morning to help jump start her day, but this morning when she sleepily rolled out of bed she heard thunder rolling in the distance. She decided she would rather have another 30 lazy minutes in bed rather then get pelted on by raindrops and risk being stuck by lightning halfway through her normal morning routine. She thought that after she was finished with dinner she should take her school work outside since the sun was finally peeking through the rainy clouds.
After another delicious meal had ended, Mabel opened up the massive double oak front doors and breathed in the fresh air. There were still raindrops clinging to the grass. With the sun now shining brightly combined with occasional bursts of wind, the drops shimmered like stars. Although sitting in the grass and working on her History of Magic essay was now not going to happen due to the dampness of the ground, still she was still happy to be outside. Mabel was always the calmest when she was outdoors. To her, nature was just as magical as anything she learned in her classes.
She made her way to one of the courtyards and found a nice dry spot on a stone bench. As she began taking her books out of her bag searching for the piece of parchment she had started her essay on, another gust of wind howled through the corridor. Unfortunately she had just pulled out the parchment as the wind came through; carrying the paper with it as it left. Â Mabel stood up and in her haste knocked her books onto the ground. She noticed the paper heading in the direction of a figure coming along the path.
âoh drat! Hey! Hello! You up there! Can you grab that parchment! Please?!â

Falling Away | Sera and Mabel
Seraâs entire body was shaking. She could feel her legs stinging, and tears pricking at her eyes. She blinked them away quickly before bringing her legs up and off the ledge. She didnât particularly feel like falling off a staircase today. Or ever. She kept her hand tightly wound around the railing. Then she began to register that someone was talking to her. She looked up at the blonde girl. âHi.â She giggled, raising a hand that wasnât gripping the railing. She felt light, like she was floating on air. Merlin, what was wrong with her? Was she going insane or something?Â
Sera closed her eyes and shook her head, as if trying to get rid of all of her thoughts. âIâm fine. Iâm okay.â She said slowly, not entirely sure if that was true. She did just nearly fall off a moving staircase after all. Merlin, was she having a bad day or what? âYeah, damn step.â She murmured, glancing back at it. âIt was probably a Slytherin or something. Trying to prank a Hufflepuff. But they screwed up and never fixed it.â She said, a grin forming on her lips. Yeah, something was definitely wrong with her.
"No, I think Iâm good." Sera said, slowly rising to her feet. She wobbled slightly, but managed to stay upright. "Sera Creevey." She said, holding her hand out to the girl. Bet she wasnât going to forget her very soon. Who would forget the girl who nearly fell off the staircase? She glanced around, looking for her bag. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me." She groaned as she saw it on the floor below them. The staircase lurched into place and she stepped off, leaning over the railing to look at it.
Mabel continued to stare worriedly at the girl. When the girl let out a giggle Mabel was definitely concerned. She could have been seriously injured! Was now really the time to be giggling? Maybe it was just relief from not, you know, falling to her death due to a stupid step that decided it didnât want to do its job when stepped on. As if the fact that the staircase moved whenever it pleased wasnât hazardous enough. Come to think off it there are a lot of dangerous things about Hogwarts, but at least the students didnât have to walk on said dangerous things every single day.
After a few seconds had passed the girl spoke again. At least she was forming complete sentences. Well kind of. Also the giggling had stopped. What were the symptoms of a head injury anyway? âYeah I could see a Slytherin pulling some kind of trick like that. Not fair to the rest of us though you know? I wonder just how many people have stepped; er well, fallen on that step. I know I have. Itâs silly really. I mean people come this way every day. A professor should have done something about it by now. I think Iâll have a talk with my head-of-house tonightâŚâ Mabel knew she was talking too much. She does that when she doesnât know what else to do, and she wanted to make sure this girl was okay. Maybe stay with her awhile, even if she had to keep up this ridiculous dialogue. Â
âAre you sure you donât want to at least get checked out? That was a nasty fall. You could at least take some calming draught, you seem a bit frazzled.. oh goodness I mean of course your frazzled! Talk about a near-death experience. Sorry Iâm rambling. Hi Sera, Iâm Mabel,â Mabel shook the girls hand and gave her a quick look up and down checking for scrapes and bruises. âHere Iâll get your bagâ she took out her wand and pointed it at the bag below them. âAccioâ she stated clearly; the bag flew up and landed at their feet.  âHere why donât we sit here a few moments dear? Or maybe we should get off this stupid staircaseâŚâ Mabel didnât want to leave the girl alone until she knew she really was okay, she had a tendency to âmother henâ people. âWere you headed somewhere? Iâll walk with you; I need an excuse to not work on my divination charts anyway.â

20:Â Talk about your worst fear.

"Oh, well⌠The thing is Iâm not sure I have experienced intense romantic feelings. I mean sure I have had feelings for people before. But intense romantic feelings? Donât laugh I worked hard on that essay⌠â
15:Â Talk about someone you want to be friends with.
"There are a lot of people I want to be friends with. Do you mean here at school? There is this girl I have been noticing around here a lot, I believe her name is Zinnia? Iâm not sure we would have much in common though."
21:Â Talk about a time someone turned you down.
"This questions sucks. I guess the one that sticks out the most, and yes it has happened more then once, why do you think I focus most of my energy on school related activities? Being turned down sucks. Anyway, during my third year there was this really cute Gryffindor in my Herbology class who I sometimes worked with. They were very sweet and I think I mistook their sweet nature as them flirting with me. So I asked them one day if they wanted to hang out with me on the next trip to Hogsmeade, lets just say they politely declined and leave it at that."
32:Â Talk about your guilty pleasures.

Falling Away | Sera and OPEN
Sera walked down the steps and rubbed her temples tiredly. She was just so was not in the mood. Everyone was used to her being bubbly and peppy. Of course, she couldnât exactly blame them. It was who she was outwardly. She never gave them anything else to expect. Honestly, she was just tired of it. Sometimes she wanted to snap at people, sometimes she wanted to yell or cry or something. Anything but smile and laugh. She couldnât be happy cheery Sera all the time. She was used to just going through the motions of it, like a part she had played for years. Actually, that was exactly it. She had been playing bubbly Sera practically since birth. If she wasnât, everyone acted like something happened. Like she was someone else or something. She didnât want to act all the time. Some times she really just wanted to curl up in bed and marathon musicals. She missed home. She missed the internet and muggle books and the theatre down the street and she wanted to go home. She missed her muggle best friend and visiting what would have been her high school. She missed pens and computers and lamps that she could just plug in. Now, she didnât mean to be âungratefulâ about Hogwarts. She was glad to be magical, she was. But that didnât mean she doesnât get homesick. What was she supposed to do?Â
Sera adjusted the heavy bag on her shoulder, still walking down at the stairs. She wasnât really focusing on them. She was barely aware of her feet slapping against the marble. Maybe the Room of Requirement could help. She could read some muggle books, and maybe she could even get a tv working in there. Sera adjusted the bag again, her shoulder groaning against the weight. She had tossed a few extra books in there, and yet her body was acting like she had filled it with bricks or something. She felt her stomach turning over slightly, and her body was filled with a slight chill. Was someone following her? She resisted the urge to glance over her shoulder. She had just been reading too many muggle mystery novels. Yeah, that was it.Â
Sera stopped at the landing, waiting for staircases to change. Her bag slipped down her shoulder and she hiked it up. At the bottom of this one she could turn left and then head to the Room of Requirement. Then she wouldnât be interrupted and forced to socialize. Sera stepped onto the staircase as it moved to her. She continued walking down, again not really paying attention to where she was stepping. Click. Seraâs head snapped around to see a figure behind her. Before she really realized who it was, her feet were slipping out from under her. Shit, it was the trick step. How could she forget about the trick step? Sera felt herself hit the steps and slide down them as her heavy bag fell off her shoulder and off the stairs. She let a loud curse word slip from her mouth as she desperately grabbed onto the railing. She felt her heart stop as she steadied herself on the very last step. Her feet swung precariously over the edge as she stared down at the marble. âShit.â That was bloody terrifying.Â
Mabel slowly made her way down the ever-changing staircase. It had been a long day filled with classes that demanded more attention than she had expected to give. Her essay for potions still needed to be edited. Not to mention she had not taken the time to even glance at her transfiguration notes. After every class she had to rewrite her notes due to the fact she was always in a frenzy trying to write down every word her professor spoke. Who has time for neatness? Lost in thought, she didnât even realize where she was going. Having walked these step so many times she usually ended up where she wanted to be without putting too much effort into getting there.
She knew this year would be the most stressful one thus far, especially with O.W.Ls being at the end of the second term. She already knew what she wanted to be when she completed her time at Hogwarts, but there was always that small voice in the back of her mind, taunting her and telling her she wasnât good enough.  Sure she had made excellent grades, always attentive in class and asking questions but one slip up and she could kiss her career as a Wizarding Lawyer at the Ministry of Magic goodbye. She had never mentioned this to anyone, but she had always had an idea in the back of her mind that if she were to fail at Hogwarts, she could maybe try going to one of those muggle academies. It would definitely be interesting to study the laws they have in place.  Mabel knew no matter what happened, at the end of day she would stand up and fight for what was right. She wanted to help people. Whether it be the muggles or Wizarding folk⌠Maybe even both.
As she continued walking a loud sound made her snap back to reality.  Before she could fully process what was happening, a figure was sliding down the stairs and ended up at the bottom while a bag (it must have awfully been heavy by the noise it made when it landed) lay on the platform below. âMerlins beard are you all right?â Mabel flew down the stair case to help the girl. She knelt down beside the girl, concern in her voice as spoke. âIt was the damn trick step wasnât it? I have no idea who thought that would be a good idea. Are you hurt? Do I need to take you to the hospital wing? Oh my goodnessâŚâ
Looking So Crazy | Mabel & Lysander
Lysander sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, trying to think of what to say. Girls were officially the most foreign of foreign objects to him. This one, in-particular was⌠A good foreign. She made him feel things and happiness and weird feelings⌠He liked it. âI hope itâs a good surprise and not a bad one.â his feet shuffled sheepishly in place. âMost people think itâs a bad one.. I donât know; Iâve gotten used to itâ it comes with being the crazy twin.â he clicked his tongue, looking from the blonde beside him to the blonde in the portrait. It was kind of strange to see, but they kind of looked identical.. How odd Â
He took note of her nervous actions while his hands snaked deeper into his pockets. Mabel.. "Mabel?" He repeated aloud, "Mabel. I like it." He held he removed his hand from his pocket and held it out to her, offering her a sheepish smile.  Please donât let her deny my hand shake! Please donât let her deny my hand shake! " Iâm Lysander. Lysander Scamander. Itâs nice to meet you."Â
There was something Lysander was taking a liking to with Mabel. The way she talked about her favourite portrait was beyond breathtaking. She described it so perfectly that Lysander could see it all. Who cares if she rambled, he liked when girls rambled. Mix in the fact that she did it with so much care and life⌠It was enough to make the Scamander twin smile brightly. He no longer paid any attention to Madeline which probably annoyed her, but he swore to himself heâd make it up to her. âNow you have to show my that portrait you speak of.â he said honestly. âI mean.. You canât describe something like that and then not show me. That would be criminal. â He bit his lip for a second as he tried to think about which portrait was his favourite.
"Well.. Besides her.." he gestured to the girl he was talking to. "On the Seventh Floor, thereâs this portrait of this⌠Spring landscape. Thereâs flowers of various colours. Pinks, blues, yellows, reds! A sky as blue as can be with these pig, puffy white clouds. They move slowly but not too slowly, just enough to make a difference. In the center of the portrait are these two kids. Oneâs a boy in a white and blue sailor suit, with little gold buttons. The other is a girl, who looks about two years younger, dressed in a white dress with a white straw hat that has a blue sash.  Both are wearing no shoes. The boys has brown hair, the girl does too, I think theyâre siblings..  They play together all day with no worries or cares⌠Theyâre just so.. Happy⌠ Itâs quite amazing, really.  I guess thatâs why itâs my favourite. "Â
Mabel quickly, probably a little over zealously, shook the boys warm hand. âItâs a pleasure to meet you Lysander... I have never really been a fan of âMabelâ, the only person that I have met thus far that shares my name was an older lady who had the aroma of mothballs and stale coffee.â She giggled as the memory of the older muggle came rushing back to her. âI met her before I crossed through the barrier at Kings Cross, she kept asking me questions about why I had an owl at a train station; I was worried Iâd miss the train.â Mabelâs gaze lingered on his face for a few moments. Of course she has had many conversations with boys before, but none had really, that she could recall, seemed to keep her as captivated as Lysander. She was a quiet for a few moments before she spoke again.
âAbout the whole surprise thing, itâs good. I like it. Itâs⌠sweet that you take the time to get to know them, the portraits I mean. Do you think they get lonely?â Mabel hoped the boy didnât think that was a stupid question. She usually kept most questions, outside of school work of course, to herself. Always worried that she may make a mockery of herself, but asking Lysander questions, well, it felt different. Like she could ask him anything and he wouldnât criticize her. It was lovely.
Once the handshake was over she fumbled around with her hair, placing a few strands that had sprung out at awkward angles back behind her ear. Unsure of what to do with her hands now, she rubbed them together. âGoodness it seems to have gotten a bit chillyâ Mabel looked around to see if a ghost was nearby, they always bring the temperature down. âSo you have a twin brother? I have always wondered what it would be like to have a twin, or even a younger sister. Instead I got stuck with an older brother. â
Mabel listened intently to his description of his favorite portrait. He described it in brilliant detail; Mabel closed her eyes for a moment and let his description of the painting wrap around her. It was also lovely. She decided then and there she could listen to this boy speak all day. Mabel opened her eyes âSorry I zoned out there for a minute. I would be delighted to show you my portrait, well not uh, my mine, but yeah you know what I mean." her cheeks blushed again, she definitely no longer felt chilly. "But only if you show me yours. Thanks to your narrative I think I have a pretty good picture of it in my head but I still want to see it; it sounds charming.â
