The depiction of Clockwork in TROR is genuinely so bad, in most of his official art work hes almost always with Doombringer, yet Trubo (the owner and lore writer) says that Clockwork being dependent on Doombringer an assumption made by the community. How could we not assume that? Especially with the comic.
Additionally, in the context of the comic, Clockwork jumps into Doombringer's arms with a tear in his eye— mind you, the panel after this is them preparing to fight James.
All of his information reference Doombringer and vice versa. Trubo knows this, hell, ages ago they made a post about giving Clockwork more fun facts to not make him an 'accessory' to Doom.
Trubo claims they made Clockwork more 'independent', yet he's still always besides Doombringer, even in the Alpha poster.
Trubo knows what they're doing, they sent this in the fun facts channel a few months ago because apparently alot of people have been criticizing it before.
"Let me give you 15 fun facts about him!" sounds like "oh yeah sorry our character writing is dog shit let me give you fun facts instead!" Its an excuse, and the problem is unsolved considering that some of us are complaining still.

Quick TROR lore rant from someone that's been writing for 4 years
The writing is bad, its horrible. It's friends often rant to Meiko about it. It didn't really bother learning other character's lore, so it did research after hearing of it's friends' criticisms.
Er... Let's see. DoomClock is dependent on each other, Deivy is nice (? Hes supposed to be snarky, according to its friend), Brightmon is Doomclock but with the amnesia trope, Sorcus is a yandere Dued1 and n7 is pushed into the spotlight because the ship's popular and everyone else gets disregarded. There's rumours of Luckymaxxer being scrapped as well but Meikos unsure.
So.... mischaracterization... and stuff.
Hey, before you start throwing tomatoes and pitchforks and going— "Hey Meiko! The lore is still in development!" It knows, but considering the fact that TROR has been in the works since 2025, some cohesive backstories would've been established? Its been a year. Development of the game and the lore can coexist. While yes there IS information, its a summary of it and leaves unanswered questions. Not to mention some characters are still lacking lore.
"The fun facts!" No. Fun facts are there to tell you about a character's personality, habits and hobbies alike. Fun facts do not equal lore.
Don't take Meikos words as just complaining about the current lore, its words are about the lack of clarification and the mischaracterization of characters. The exposition is great, how the Remains came to be is peak but if its just about the characters- thats where it all falls flat.
TROR DoomClock is a prime example of this horrible writing, but then again Meiko doesn't really care about DoomClock so we're talking about Brightmon instead.
Telamon and Brighteyes only current lore is about their relationship- how they were inlove and after their Dolormorphosis, it all falls apart and Brighteyes gets PTSD of the destruction and Telamon gets amnesia, forgetting all of his relations.
What? You expected more? Absolutely not. That's it.
This feels like a nothing burger! How do you expect anything else to come from this? They're in love and their relationship got torn after getting sent to the Remains! That's one sentence! You can summarize Brightmon in ONE sentence!

Yes its petty about the warn. Calling your lore "ass" doesnt mean its the end of the world. The warn was unprompted and it cant believe you considered Meiko saying TROR writing is ass as disrespectful and is therefore worth a warn.
Sigh. Whatever. If this does end up reaching Trubo (which it doubts), Meikos not asking for a lot, okay? It just wants them to stop treating criticism like its a personal offense and maybe to hire writers— hell! they don't even need to do that! They could just talk with the other devs about it and get their opinions!
Look, It's tired about how Trubo treats the whole thing with excuses like "The lore is still in development!" and gets offended when said developing lore is getting criticized, when the information given to us, the community, is lacking! Obviously we would think of what was given to us! Doombringer and Clockwork's revealed lore about their relationship and nothing else? Of course people would think they're dependent on each other because THEY DONT HAVE ANY OTHER RELEASED LORE!
Please don't say fun facts. It sounds like an excuse.

I'd say the same old as the series! Wont be until they reveal their identities would they be a close knit group! Think of it as Caprikid is Ladybug, RB is CN, and KM as RR and Ondine as Carapace, if that makes sense?
If I'm rewriting MLB, first order of business, Adrienette? making them irrelevant, Marcaniel/Capribold is now the main couple and instead of giving them Ladybug and Cat miraculous they keep their miraculous cuz they're OP as fuck and I want Hawkmoth to whine about not having the LB and BC miraculous active because what he gets is an impulsive & shy goat and a rooster with too much confidence & pride.
Bonus, Kim gets more time to shine because the monkey miraculous is so OP that the writers had to sideline him everytime. He gets screentime. Fuck Derision, it was just a mass hallucination made to trick all of you to like Adrienette more
Do they get Akumatized here? Yes. Hawkmoth reading his victim's minds is utter BS, that doesn't happen.
I'm thinking of Evillustrator as Kim's debut as Roi Singe/King Monkey, where Nath manages to take the Goat Miraculous off, having Ziggy return to Fu to inform him that Caprikid won't be available. Of course RB won't realize this until an unknown number (Fu) messages him that Caprikid is sick. Somehow Kim unintentionally does the test (like in Party Crasher) and gets gifted the Monkey Miraculous temporarily.
with this, Fu gets introduced early to the heroes and more miraculous holders since Volpina happens here really differently
Okay Reverser. This one's a tough cookie, though it'll happen definitely earlier. This EP will be where Kim becomes permanently RS/KM and also fixes an early ending that includes the Season 3 Finale.
The same happens with Marc here, Oriiko gets the ring off and goes to Fu. Reverser as an akuma is already bad enough since RB is more combative from the two of them, leaving Caprikid defenseless until KM arrives. Then there's kind of a plot hole from there on, since I've mostly thought of RB using Sublimation as 'the ability to fix everything that the akuma dealt' -ish(This abides by Oriiko's rules, cuz I doubt there's a Kwami of Restoration), so I've decided to hit two birds with one stone and had Caprikid unify with Tikki, and keeping her from then onward, fixing the ending for the S3 finale as, if Fu was captured, Hawkmoth would get both of them, so having the Ladybug Miraculous with Nath would fix that.

Introducing; Stalker's Trilogy!
The trilogy happens around the first season, happens before KM is recruited and is a tad bit dark— hence the name..
The following akumas here are Puppeteer— no no, not that Puppeteer from the show, just an OC that I dragged from my Fantasy AU, Guardian Archer, also from the same Fantasy AU, and then Marinette. She's not Akumatized, thats just the episode title. The OCs featured here are Ayla Hepburn(Puppeteer), Rune (Guardian Archer) and Vidmantas, weird names, I know, but hey, they were from a fantasy au in my drafts and roleplays
tw for some yandere stalker-ish stuff? trying to keep it vague
The premise of this is about Vidmantas— he's running away from this crazed stalker of his from college, Ayla. He escaped being kidnapped from Ayla, and that caused her to be Akumatized. Desiring to keep control of her prince, she sends little marionettes that she controls to search for him. The marionettes basically just wreck havoc on Paris until RB is informed of the situation and they try to find Ayla/Puppeteer. She, in normal stalker fashion, stays in the shadows and focusing on her goal. Vidmantas by then was already far away from she is, hiding somewhere for now.
Nevermind— as Caprikid passes by and notices this feeble man and confronts Vidmantas about it. He reveals what happened with Ayla through sign language (or a whiteboard, in Caprikid's case) because apparently, to keep him quiet during his kidnapping, she damaged his throat, which of course can be healed, but she kind of neglected that.
The conversation ends as Caprikid leaves to help out his partner and informs him about Ayla, agreeing that she's a freak and deserves to be put behind bars, they do action stuff and kick her ass. They forgot to kill the akuma, I mean, who wouldn't if the girl in front of you starts spouting the most yandere nonsense.
The Akuma ends up in the hands of Rune, Vidmantas's foster mother who was watching the... I actually don't have a name for the Ladyblog of this AU... Awkward. (Yeah Alya and Marinette are also there in the scene)
The Akuma, or Guardian Archer (as Rune has done archery, referencing in my fantasy AU as her job as a hunter) rushes in to attempt murder on Ayla, calling her disgusting names, attempting to kill her, of the like. Our hero duo lets this happen because that's definitely what Ayla deserves, obviously.
The point of this is for Marinette to get a reality check, and for me to finally get rid of writing her. So seeing what everyone's judgement was on Ayla (who she thought was heartbroken rather that fucked up insane) and reflected on her actions. She ends up asking her parents to get her a therapist and yada yada.

Volpina is a really hard episode to get around since I'm still trying to keep it similar to canon. My thoughts for it was 'Adrien doesn't have Plagg yet! So there's no reason for him to take the book— being Chat Noir was the thing that got Adrien into the disobedience route' And that kind of brought alot of problems for future EPs, namely the transition from Hawkmoth to Shadowmoth; how can Gabe repair the peacock? Or I could just follow how fanfiction does it and have Adrien take the grimoire to start off his teenage rebellion.

Okay work with me here. No Shadowmoth = No Felix = No Season 4 Finale!
Okay so Volpina goes on as normal, Lila joins the class and starts up her manipulation schemes or whatever, Nathaniel still doesn't give a fuck about listening to her so he doesn't initially clocks Lila lying. Then the episode goes off as normal: Marinette follows them around, she calls her out on Lila's bullshit then boom, Volpina! The meteor appears and Volpina lifts it away or somethin. Caprikid, obviously wary of her, asks about the fox miraculous and the code
(Since Copycat, which happens a bit after Evillustrator— King Monkey thought that they should have a password to identify if the other hero is the real deal— which are their Kwami's names, they then relay this idea to Fu and then to the Kwamis so that the new holders would know)
Basically Volpina fumbles the password so she gets outed as an akuma fairly early, she runs off and takes Adrien hostage, Eiffel Tower stuff, then she's de-akumatized. The grimoire is forgotten until Gabriel picks it up again.
This solves a LOT of the Hawkmoth saga, rendering it a tad shorter rather than five seasons.. Season Five finale is bad. Recreation is... adjusted, to say the least. Adrien's included in this finale though, just to let you know.

I've honestly hyperfixated on this small idea I had 2 weeks ago and for some reason it hasn't left me! So, here are some more adjustments for this thing for it to make sense
Fu is more competent here, and instead of either Caprikid or RB going to him for more miraculous backup, he's the one that goes out to find the holders instead of them. (I've hced Guardians can see auras on which miraculous a person can be more suited towards)
Hawkmoth's butterflies are magic ones, not real ones, this mostly factors in the fact that they don't have the Ladybug miraculous to purify it, so killing it it is, despite Gabriel having lots of butterflies, they'll run out at some point therefore magic✨
Instead of a 5 minute timer, it's been lengthened into 15 minutes. This is honestly really minor but I decided it wouldn't hurt
Derision doesn't happen IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, As it basically went:
Kim: Yo Alix, I'm going with Chloe to prank Marinette so if Max asks where I am—
Alix: With Chloe?? Dude this might be bad you know how she is with Marinette

Guardians receiving amnesia after relinquishing their guardianship is stupid, it won't happen and Su-han eventually helps them out S4 onward because he's a wasted character, like come on guys he has potential!!

I must know, do they swap it as heroes, or do they learn each other's identities? (In the show, it's always been unclear {at least to me} if the issue is any of Miraculous holders knowing each other, or if it's just whoever holds the ladybug and black cat, so I'm interested to see how you interpret it.)
There are some episodes that I've messed the order with AKA I just got rid of most of the filler, and Miracle Queen is around the start of Season 2 in this AU's timeline, following Feast a few episodes later, then first episode of Season 3, Furious Fu— where Fu doesn't even get Akumatized. it's just a Su-han centric version. And well, due to Su-han, they're forced to reveal to each other their secret identities! Except Nathaniel and Marc since The Ruler also happens here early— coincidentally a day before Su-han arrives.
As for the Miracle Box, yep! They do swap it out as heroes, once Su-han arrives then they do it as themselves. They have a cycle, Ondine during the first week of the month, Marc second, Nathaniel third and Kim obviously fourth then shuffle; This is so that HM won't actually get the miraculous and it divides the responsibility between the quartet so there's no AU's version of Gang of Secrets.
