Look at this stud muffin of a fox, which of course, is "Fantastic" Mr. Fox, oh yes, he is. Another Wes Anderson film, another beautiful masterpiece. I'd like to say Fantastic Mr. Fox is my favorite but that wouldn't completely be true since I haven't watched Darjeeling, Moonrise and his first one, which I can't recall right now. To sum it up, with no serious spoilers, the movie is about a fox who used to steal chickens, etc. etc. from others, and one day he decided to "holla" at his buddy the badger (voice of Bill Murray) to "sidekick" him as he steals a chicken. He then continues on to steal more goodies, and eventually, has to protect himself as the owners seek revenge. This was a fun movie, light-hearted, and the way they "swear" is just the best darndest thing ever. I thought Meryl Streep was gonna play a bigger role in the movie but I guess the attention was focused on others, like Jason Schwartzmann's character, Ash, the son of Mr. Fox. If you were like me a couple of weeks ago, who hasn't really watched a Wes Anderson film and you wanted to start a binge of his movies, I'd say start with Rushmore then jump straight to this movie. It'll just get you grooving on to all of his movies eventually, and that's what I'm trying to promote here in order for people to appreciate these films.

Moonrise Kingdom cast (From left to right: Tilda Swinton, Kara Hayward, Jared Gilman, screenwriter Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, Bruce Willis, actor Bob Balaban, director Wes Anderson, Edward Norton and Bill Murray) at the screening of their movie.
If there's one director that I need to film my not-so-adventurous life and make it seem like the most fantastic ever, I'd give Wes Anderson a call.

A huge big-ups to Christian Bale for everything he did for this movie, especially losing all the fat to look as scrawny as he can possibly be for this role.
21 Jump Street with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill
These are the Basterds, ever heard of us?
Half Nelson/ Ryan Gosling
Ohhh Lars and the Real Girl who is as fake as Pamela Anderson's t...nah, the whole Pamela Anderson. When you watch that movie, Ryan Gosling is just a flat out great act who plays the "delusional" character so well that I've gone delusional thinking the doll was real. The supporting cast of Emily Mortimer (who you may have seen from The Pink Panther) that plays as her sister-in-law and Paul Schneider (from such films like "What film did Paul Schneider really play a big role and got known from it, I don't know, you tell me", or the first season of Parks and Recreation which no one seems to have watched, unfortunately.), the brother. Lars is a depressed fella who finds love through the internet and delivered to his garage, a doll. Lars' doctor didn't find a diagnosis, and instead, had asked the family and the community to follow along with Lars delusion. Personally found this movie to be quite intriguing, fun, and "heart-warming" (in a manly voice I say that). It supported my love for Ryan Gosling's acting and movie roles, but not himself. I've encouraged a few of my friends to watch this film and I guarantee you they haven't even thought of starting to do so, but that's fine with me, they're just jerks (just kidding, I love you all)who are missing out on a fantastic movie. Now do you want to be a jerk who is missing out on a fantastic movie? I knew it. So go watch it.

Shawshank Redemption:
A film with a fairly low budget, and a fairly low Box Office reception. But guess what? This movie is fantastic and deemed to be one of the better films in the history of films. To be quite honest, personally, I've only watched the complete film today. Yes, June 18 of 2012, correct. This is what I mean by my lack of movie expertise due to my not-so-beloved non-development of film-craze-love throughout my younger years. When I say, "complete", I mean that because I've had so many chances to watch the film which include the possession of the DVD itself, it played in my law class that I took in high school, it was showcased in the television numerous times, and yet, it took me that long just to watch this film. Morgan Freeman was great in this film. I mean, I'm sure I didn't watch this movie with my eyes closed and admired his voice, he was good. Tim Robbins played Andy's whole character completely well. Just one thing troubled me, which was the fact that the prison itself didn't seem too intimidating but maybe that's just me. I'm assuming everyone in the world born in (and before) the early 90s have watched this movie already, so... I guess I can't say "Go watch it if you haven't!". But for the younger generation, if you wanna see some clever and discreet prison breakin' (just like Let's Go To Prison but on a completely different level, completely different.) then go for some Shawshank Redemption, and a beer or four while you're at it.
