If you want to plant things that’ll help, simply googling “pollinator native plants u.s. [region or state] climate zone [number]” should start getting you a helpful list.  You can look up your plant hardiness climate zone here (you can click on each state for a more detailed view). While generally not priced too high, some of these seeds will be more expensive than others. This is because invasive plants like those in the Cheerios mix get out of hand, as they have no natural agents to prevent their population from overcrowding, and this combined with other factors means that some native plants have become much rarer than they used to be. If you’d like to attract specific pollinators, different ones are drawn to different kinds of plants — but there’s usually one or two plants that will be great for a variety of pollinators for a given region, so if you’re strapped for time/cash/planting space, there are options!
