unknown is so good it's like hey here's a love letter to family and love and understanding and growing up and building your own style of relationships. here's a guy (a boy who grew up too fast, a man who doesn't quite know how to be a grown up). here's a guy (a boy whose world revolves around one person, a man whose world still revolves around the same person even though he's seen more of it). they're in love. it's impossible and weird and unnatural and taboo and strange and a phase and wrong. it's as easy as breathing. they see the worst parts of each other and still fall in love. it's surprising. it's a long time coming. and they have a family and it's the real central part of the story, because the romance is only a second thought to the warmth and understanding that they've created in their home. but the romance is still there. the love is still, always there. it's easy and it's hard and it's impossible and it's just them.

It's utterly magnetic when a character's rage is quiet and precise. When they don't scream and throw things but they just b r e a t h e and very very calmly aim their fury like an arrow shooting inexorably towards the target of their wrath. It captures my attention, I lean in close, I wait for the hit. It never disappoints.
