thank you! as with everything, it's all shapes :) here's roughly how i see things:

^ break down each element into shapes and consider perspective and negative space; further divide them into smaller shapes, if needed

^ here i tried to make sure to follow the figure motion and how color distortion happens on-screen

+ you have to consider ratio proportions and color palette; for that you have to train your eye or you can just use grids and a color picker! you can also draw some lines on top of the initial frame and then go from there instead to give a sense of the compositional balance

it's different for each person - personally, i do these with a certain goal in my mind (how do i replicate this exact thing in my art?). im not an arbiter for how you should it; do whatever you want forever - it's a study, after all :)

fun fact, the idea for that fic was born out of me being a freak in the chat over c1 (as usual) and my dear friend took that specific idea and ran with it. afraid to say that they're still running... they left these messages before leaving, though:

"hello thank you for reading" "the plen plen men will all be okay... most of them..."

still have to deal with consequences of my actions by beta reading everything but i wouldn't have it any other way <3
