a writer is a person who can stare at a blank page for hours, produce nothing, and still consider it a productive day. писатель — это человек, который может часами смотреть на чистый лист, ничего не написать и при этом считать день продуктивным.

vampires drink blood because the pharmacy doesn't have decent iron supplements and hematologists cost a fortune. immortality is expensive, so they just drink, suffer, and pretend it's all terribly aesthetic. really, they just have anemia and bad health insurance.

the blank page of a new novel isn't so blank after all. In my mind, I've already dripped ink, drama, and an existential crisis all over it.
