🍋 Lemon Rosemary Garland for Home Protection 🍋
Hi lunchcrafters! Here is the first DIY craft on my blog for you to make in the kitchen and use in your house. I saw this spell on witchtok and fell in love. This lemon garland has a few steps - first boil lemon slices with some ingredients, then bake to dry them out, and then string together into a garland - giving you plenty of opportunities to infuse this citrus-y craft with your magical intentions.
How to make a lemon garland protection spell
Gather your ingredients
2-3 lemons, sliced into rings
Salt
Rosemary, dried or fresh
Cinnamon
Ground cloves
Lavender, dried buds
Mix all together into a pot of water and boil until the lemons soften
For all the dry ingredients, just use a tablespoon or so of each - do what feels right, but you don’t need to pour a ton in there
Lay lemons on a baking sheet on parchment paper and bake at 170F for 6 hours, or until they’re dried out
String up with twine or yarn and hang by your doors

Spell tips
Stir clockwise to invite positive attributes into your spell.
As you add in each ingredient, focus on the attributes listed above or any other correspondences that you hold dear for them - thank them as you pour them in the mix and ask them to grant you what they have to offer.
Be mindful of your ingredients - do you have any of these that were gifted to you? My friend’s mother dried some rosemary from her herb garden -- so I used that!
If you want, save the water that you boiled the lemons in. I’ve seen some recommendations to spray it around your home, but I’d be afraid of it being too sticky. I have mine in a jar and plan to incorporate it into any future protection spells.
Hang this garland on the outside door/s you use the most - I put mine by the door to our basement, since we leave out there to the garage daily.
As you bake, the scent of these herbs and lemons will be beautiful and waft through your house. Use part of this six-hour bake time to meditate and visualize this aroma reaching all parts of your house, protecting every little corner.
During Yule, use oranges instead of lemons! Oranges are energizing, a mood-booster and symbolize abundance.
