BRB Going to the Oscars

A year ago today, the first trailer for yuri on ice was uploaded to youtube

I’m so glad I found the preview the day it was uploaded, and watching it grow from a preview to one of, if not the biggest anime of 2016 has been memorable

I also thought it was going to flop due to airing in the same season as Touken Ranbu and Utapri, or become a minor success with a niche little cozy fandom at best.

She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless she persisted.

This will be a place for my thoughts as I sift through memories and explore my gender identity. It will also be where I document FTM changes when they happen. Perhaps others will find this useful to read. Remember that it’s important to go on your own journey of self-discovery if you’re thinking of transitioning and not super imposing another’s thoughts upon yourself.

Summary: The triplets have broken the internet again, this time with Instagram posts featuring one Victor Nikiforov and Katsuki Yuuri.

Note: So, i haven’t written anything in a really really long time. But i got inspired by the Instagram reel during the ending and then seeing all of us freak out about the pictures, so i wrote this. I do apologize ahead of time for my bad writing. Also, i do not know Russian, but i wanted a Russian pet name there at the end, so feel free to correct me if i used the word wrong. (I googled through like four dictionaries but ANXIETY!) Yuuri groaned as his cell phone chimed from the stand by his bed. He reached out from under the sheets, reaching blindly for it, wondering who could be calling him. Blinking blearily at it, he placed it to his ear, answering. “Ah! Yuuri! Sorry for waking you! I know you have early workouts! It’s just, something happened!” Yuuri yawned, nodding his head. “Uh-huh,” he muttered sleepily.

Yuri!!! on Ice is so important to me. In three short weeks it has turned my life upside down in such an amazing way, from encouraging my to take up skating and working out again, to actively encouraging my to contribute to fandom without fear for the first time in years. It has given me so much in terms of personal happiness and well-being in such a short amount of time and that’s amazing.

So, I want to pay it forward a bit.
