Hi!! I'm Lumine, and I'm an IRL magical girl in training! This blog is mainly to document my journey, but I may post some informational content about real-life magical heroes and pop culture magic! My concept and powers revolve around space and astronomy, and I plan to work as an astral magical girl!
But first, for those of you who don't know:
What are Irl Magical Girls?
Magical girls, or magical heroes, are a form of pop culture witchcraft in which, through a mix of manifestation, chaos magic, reality shifting, astral work, and dream work, a practitioner can become a magic-using hero that helps others, and sometimes fights monsters, similar to those seen in the magical girl genre.
This blog is not a role play, fandom, or kin blog (even if I do take part in those communities), nor is this a form of delusion or trolling. Any negative interactions that come from malice will be blocked.

Bilocation is the act and process of consciously astral projecting. I personally like to call bilocation “soul-splitting”, but the proper term is the one I will use in this document. Like all astral and spiritual practices, it is important to ward before you attempt Bilocation. During Bilocation, you may encounter spirits of all shapes and sizes, so protection against potentially malicious ones is not a choice. (Well, it is, but you’d be stupid to not want to be safe.)
Bilocation requires visualization, so if you have Aphantasia, unfortunately, you are out of luck.
How to Bilocate
To Bilocate, there are numerous methods. Some involve meditation, others (mostly the “old magick” ways) involve physical torture, and others involve waking yourself up during regular Astral Projection.
My method, however, is much simpler, and lacks the physical torture. I cannot affirm that this will work for everyone, however, for my many students over the years, this seems to work quite well.
First, make sure you can focus. If focus is flickering (ADHD), this can still work, as long as you keep yourself on track after distraction.
Second, you will want to relax and visualise the room around you. Force it to become clearer, until you can move and identify objects with ease. This may tire you out - for those unskilled in visualization, you may need to take breaks or work on that skill before attempting bilocation.
Third, once your visualisation of the room is solid, move your visualisation to the next room, force it to become clear, then move it to the next room. At this point, you may feel like you are actually walking between rooms, picking up different objects, etc. This is good! You want this to continue.
At this stage, you should be fully in meditation, and visualising with ease. You may even feel vibrations around your skin at this point. This is all good. You want to be feeling like the visualisation is actually happening. The hardest part now, is to go outside. Open your door, and walk outside. Do not be afraid if you see entities or spirits walking around. The door is symbolic - it is a starting point, when you step outside, you are fully bilocating now. Yes, it’s that simple. You can walk, you can fly, you can do everything you can while astrally projected, yet you are conscious.
Astral Realms
A place to go, when starting bilocation, is to your personal realm. Everyone has a realm, and there’s multiple types: Open, Closed, Personal, and Internal realms.
Open realms are spaces within the astral plane that anyone and anything can visit. These are, for example, godly realms (realms owned by a god, such as Amaterasu or Nyx), “afterlife” realms (such as hell, valhalla, etc.), and large “world” realms such as Earth’s astral counterpart, mars, and so forth. Fictional worlds and universes are also usually open.
Closed realms are places that you can only visit if you have been invited. These tend to be other people’s realms, closed culture (that you may not be a part of) realms, entity-based realms (such as specific dragon types, kitsune realms, etc) that require being or having a past life as said creature to enter, and so forth. Closed realms are usually heavily protected.
Personal realms are where things get interesting. Every entity, every person, has a realm all to themselves. It is a space where they control everything. You can instantly build a house, you can give yourself a pile of gold, you could give yourself a full gaming pc (although, i don’t know why you’d need it on the astral). These realms are completely customizable to the owner, and each person’s realm is usually shaped by their experiences and likes until they change it themselves.
To access your personal realm, you can walk into your soul, or visualise a door to which only you have the key. One can also have multiple personal realms, it just takes energy to create new ones. Every personal realm is considered “closed”, although your personal realm will need heavy warding to be fully secure.
Internal realms are realms where you may not be able to control everything, yet they are still very much a part of you. Internal realms include, but are not limited to: Higher self’s dwelling, lower self’s dwelling, soul-scapes, life-scapes, and your Past Life Regression “Library”. All of these realms are also closed to outsiders, but do not require heavy warding - as for someone to enter these realms, they would need to possess your soul.
Plane walking
Among the astral realms, the astral is separated into planes. These planes can be labeled as “lowborn” or “highborn” planes, and they follow… “observed” rules, but these rules are not concrete at all.
The “rules” of these planes are simple, and largely based on old christian belief. The higher the plane, the more “holy” the entity, the lower the plane, the more “demonic” the entity. This.. doesn’t work, in reality. There are angelic entities that come from low planes, demonics that come from higher planes, and, there’s more types of entity than just demonic and angelic, but alas.
These rules do hold some truth, as gods and angels do tend to reside higher than “regular” humans, and demonics tend to reside lower. On the “higher” planes, one can find more “valuable” realms, such as the Universal Library(A massive, guarded library). Almost all godly realms are within “higher” planes as well. On the “lower” planes, you can typically find demonic realms, animal, and oftentimes fae-based realms as well.
Walking between these planes is simple. The vibrations one feels when attempting full astral projection (instead of Biloc) are important here. Lowering and increasing vibration and frequency requires some focus. Feel the vibrations and feel them amplifying or cancelling out. You can then use this feeling to push yourself through the planes you wish to travel between.
Some planes don't require lower or increased vibrations, and some realms may require it while the plane does not. Trial and error, with experience will get you farther than this guide will.
Lately I've been focusing on sensing the energy around me —nothing more, nothing less— and it has helped me a lot during days where it's hard to distinguish intrusive thoughts from actual magic. Meditating on your own energy really makes stuff waay clearer. Energy work feels more natural this way, with less resistance, and I can simply let myself and my magic flow.
Ive been pretty inactive for a while in this blog ;-; so time for an update!
🌟 I've been revamping my concept!! My spiritual practice is very centered around personal transformation, and my mahou work has grown to reflect that. The magical framework I adopted into my magical girl work draws from chaos magic, spiritual alchemy and my nature as a star (which falls under the alterhuman umbrella).
🌟 I've also taken down my previous concept post. It doesn't really fit anymore, and the current "version" of it is deeply ingrained and specific to myself. This is not to say it is "closed"; your magical journey is your own and if it inspired you to go down a similar path then props to you! However I will not be posting the specifics of my concept anymore.
🌟 I still intend to become a Cardcaptor tho!! Clow sorcery is still a calling for me, but again, I've grown more selective about which aspects of my practice(s) I share on social media.
I'll try to be more active in the community !! Tho I can't guarantee it, life happens jahdjag
Here is a masterlist of all of my posts related to entities from mahō shōjo media. I’ll update this post with any new entries into this series.
As always, if you have any suggestions for future entries, or if you have worked with any of these beings and want to share your experiences, please feel free to send me a message! ☆

You may have seen the term "shifts" going around in IRLMH circles. Not reality shifting, but stages of transformation and progress.
So, what are shifts? Shifts, as a broad term, originated with therians and they deserve all the credit for coining this term and its many varieties. In therian communities, a shift is defined as "an experience that causes [a therianthrope] to feel more like their theriotype." Shifts can take a variety of forms; they can be involuntary or voluntary, they can be strong or weak, rare or frequent, and even positive or negative. These shifts are not exclusive to therians, and anyone can experience them in many different ways. Some people never experience shifts.
A disclaimer: some magical heroes claim to be able to physically shift, or P-shift, which in the realm of magical heroes is defined as "physically transforming." I personally take these claims at face value, with a grain of salt and some due skepticism. According to current scientific understanding, P-shifting is physically impossible. I'm not going to outright dismiss any claims of P-shifting, nor do I think scientific understanding is completely set in stone- I just think physically transforming isn't what most people think it is (for now)!
I've seen many a magical hero discuss shifts as set stages in FMAP format: Fantasy, Mental, Astral, and Physical, in that order. Myself included.
Fantasy shift is described as "the shift where you script your ideal self-concept as a magical hero." But what if I tell you... Fantasy shift technically isn't a shift at all? As stated before, shifts are experiences.
Scripting can be an experience, and you can have these experiences while scripting, but when you have the set idea of "I know I'm meant to be a magical hero, I want to do this," all scripting is doing is helping the pieces fall into place that will allow you to experience those other shifts in much greater depth. Scripting is simply the gateway to shifts and your other experiences as magical hero.
A comprehensive list of shifts is included at the link above! But now I'd like to talk about the main shifts that magical heroes tend to experience:
Mental shift - A shift in mindset. You've transformed your mundane mental state and mindset into that of a magical hero. It's like how many magical heroes in fiction retain the same personality after they transform, but their mindset is different- they "know exactly what to say/do" even if they never did it before (I understand that in fiction, this is just easy writing, but I've experienced this before and this is the reason)
Astral shift - When your astral body leaves your physical body and ventures to the astral realm. Some magical heroes fight in the astral plane. Astral projection comes easy to some and must be practiced for some other people, so this is NOT a requirement of being a magical hero.
Dream shift - When you have recurring and consistent dreams of being your transformed self, whether involuntary or lucid. I fight in the dream world, so turning my dreams lucid (essentially freeing myself from my brain's weaker limitations) is my way of inducing this shift voluntarily. I may talk about this more in-depth another time.
Phantom shift - For therians, this is about experiencing appendages that aren't physically present (such as ears and tails). For magical heroes, this is often described as feeling your transformed self, even if those aspects are not physically present. For example: feeling your hair being longer or shorter or being styled in a certain way; feeling aspects of your outfit; feeling your weapon or items on your person; "tingles" or "sparkles" can often accompany these sensations.
Spiritual shift - Sometimes compared to astral shift in that your non-physical body changes to your transformed self. The main difference being, astral involves leaving the physical body, and spiritual shift often entails your spirit remaining in your physical body during this transformed state.
Henshin shift or transformaton shift - A term I personally coined; it is a combination of mental, phantom, spiritual, and astral, while being fully present in the physical plane. I think this is as close as one can get to physically transforming for now. See below for my personal estimate of how balanced each shift is when experiencing a full henshin shift:
Of course, these balances can vary between heroes.
So, now I'll teach you how to make the most of these shifts!
In advance I'm aware that my advice is very vague. This is intentional. You should find your own ways of doing things that work best for your brain and your abilities!
Dressing in ways that could evoke a transformed state or embody your transformed self- this may be one of the more obvious ones, but definitely helps with the M-shift aspect! If you feel like a magical hero, you are one!
Carrying around items that you would associate with your transformed self or concept- another obvious one
Learn how to voluntarily enter a transformation shift. I've experienced a T-shift involuntarily due to intense emotions, both good and bad. Learn how to transform as a method of magical/ritual grounding or even for self-soothing.
Work on physical abilities. Try dedicating a day's workout to testing your limits in your mundane state (such as only a mental or phantom shift), and then the next workout to testing your limits in a fully transformed shift, if you feel as if your abilities improve when you transform. Compare them. See what you can build on and improve. Evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. See how you can integrate your strengths and compensate for your weaknesses.
Go on patrols IF YOU ARE ABLE! Whether hunting spiritual foes or looking to do outreach in your community, patrols are a good way to connect with your transformed self.

Thank you for your time!
This is intended to be half-rant, half-follow-up to this post. I've seen quite a few individuals in the community as of late who are beginners and kind of lost in their practice, rushing into contracts without a good idea of the basics, and it irks me! So I'd like to address all of that!
So... if you're a beginner, I want you to know two things:
Do whatever you want. Your practice is yours alone, you don't need to try methods that do not work for you. You don't need to follow a ritual to the letter, you can substitute whatever you need to and you don't even need to perform a ritual in the physical plane if you cannot do so. You do not need to transform, you do not need to shift, you do not need to follow a pre-made concept.
There are bare-minimum basics that you need to research and practice before fully investing your energy into IRLMH work, whichever path you take.
I'm getting the feeling that the majority of beginners right now found the community through TikTok (and if you're living in the US, why are you still on TikTok, but I digress) and want to become a magical hero solely for aesthetics.
My mutual @majokkid (who is a wonderful resource for magical work, please check out their Magi Praxis posts when you are able!) likes to say, "magical work is work," and I 100% agree with this sentiment. Being a magical hero is a job, a responsibility, a duty to humanity and to spirit, and to treat it as such is the respect that it is owed.
By all means, you can become a magical hero for the aesthetics. You can wear a frilly skirt and wave a sparkly wand and obliterate evil with stars and rainbows! But you need to know what you're getting into, where to start, and how to train.
At the bare minimum, you need to work on the following- and be able to comfortably do them regularly- before pursuing magical duties:
How to astral project and/or how to lucid dream
Establishing a firm grasp on clairsenses and general perception of the astral plane
No matter which route you go down as a magical hero, it is astral work to varying degrees depending on what your duties consist of.
If you're fighting evil and malevolent entities (say, Pretty Cure or Puella Magi concepts) those will be present in the astral plane so you will need to learn astral projection.
If you work with spirits while remaining present in the physical plane, you will need to focus on clairsenses to properly percieve the spirits you work with.
If you'd rather work in the dream plane, for any reason, learn to lucid dream! I personally find that lucid dreaming is also a good first step or "gateway" to astral work, so it's worth trying if you'd like to. You will still need to learn clairsenses at the very least.
"But Myles! How do I learn to do all this?"
Research! Practice!
No single method is going to work for absolutely everyone, you will have to find a method that works for you and keep practicing. Trust the process, and embrace the journey.
You don't have to be perfect on your first, second, third, or hundredth try. You just need the motivation to better the world with your gifts and skills, and the patience to learn and accept failure as a sign to keep trying with a slightly different approach.
That's all I have to say for now. I hope you can take what resonates. Much love and many blessings. :)

TIME CRUNCHING - cards for when Time is of the essence.
another entry in my series about using the cards for academic pursuit :))) or just productivity in general. there are many times recently, i was swamped by deadlines of heavy projects and being a person that struggle heavily with burnt out and motivation, i rely on these cards, in combinations with the other cards to help me make it to the deadline.
DISCLAIMER: this is all written from my own experience so i encourage you to try and and find out for yourself what methods/ cards work and which ones don’t.
A note before we start
In media, Time magic is shown as the ability to going back and forth in a linear way, or stopping and starting it at will. this post isn't about that. but instead, it's about Temporal Elasticity—the psychological and procedural art of stretching Time. This is about reaching the finish line through precision, not through the impossible.
a second point is these cards, in my experience, required a large amount of energy to use. so if you want to try, make sure to prepare yourself properly before hand.
The Time - Time Magic
Purpose: To achieve hyper-focus and condense high-volume tasks.
in my study, i use this card for stretching time out. 2 or even 3 hour of work got pressed into 1 hour. i entered this hyperfocus and many things were done in the the course of 1 hour. to use the card, determine first your task and then gave it the command and intention.
Note: after the completion of the task and the card's effect ended, there will be stiffness in your joins and muscles from overexertion .
The Return - Time Travel
Purpose: To return to a specific emotional or physical state from the past.
Just like the name of the card and the episode it came from, This card's effect is about returning back to a state before. i initially used this card for recalling knowledge i have learnt but as it turned out, my whole being was brought back to that time, emotionally, psychologically and physically.
note: make sure that you was in an ok state at the moment you want to go back to.
This spell is to strengthen courage, emotional clarity, and the quiet power of kindness - turning uncertainty into radiant resolve.
Ingredients
One Pink Candle - for hope, compassion, and inner light
Incense (optional) - rose, vanilla, or sandalwood to carry your intentions into the air
Crystals: (Choose just one to all, up to you)
Rose Quartz – love, empathy, self-trust
Clear Quartz – clarity and amplification
Morganite – gentle emotional courage
Pink Opal – healing the heart and emotions
Celestite – calm confidence and angelic resolve
Herbs: (Choose just one to all, up to you)
Chamomile – peace under pressure
Lavender – emotional balance
Hibiscus – heartfelt strength and passion
The Spell
Light the candle and incense. Arrange the crystals before the flame. Place the herb(s) in a circle around the candle and crystals (and incense if you've decided to use it).
Take a steady breath and speak:
By the glow of gentle courage,
By the heart that chooses light,
I call the strength of Emily,
Soft yet shining, calm yet bright.
Let kindness stand unbroken,
Let fear dissolve like night,
May love become my armor,
And hope my guiding sight.
Glitter Force within me wakes,
Through every trial I rise,
With faith, resolve, and sparkling will,
My inner light intensifies.
Visualize pink and white light spiraling from the candle, wrapping gently around your heart. It's steady, warm, and unshakable.
Closing
Allow the candle to burn a moment longer (or imagine it fading naturally), then say:
With grace I walk, with courage I stand.
My heart shines strong—spell sealed, so planned.
───✱*.。:。✱*.:。✧*.。✰*.:。✧*.。:。*.。✱ ───
So this spell is meant to reflect Emily’s energy. Shes compassionate, steady, emotionally strong (even if she does have her crybaby moments), and quietly heroic. And I think this spell is perfect for moments when bravery means staying kind. 🌸✨🩷
This is the first time I've crafted a spell so I'm sorry if it's not the best. 🥲🫠🍀
a different aspect of studying is motivation. personally i believe that the best motivator is something you much create yourself and so these cards are for motivation when in the process of motivator.
DISCLAIMER: this is all written from my own experience so i encourage you to try and and find out for yourself what methods/ cards work and which ones don't.
POWER - THE CHEERLEADER
Out of the three cards, I’ve used Power the most. She feels like the friendliest and gentlest presence. With Power active, my work starts feeling more like a game rather than a stack of responsibilities with hard deadlines. Because of that, I end up working leisurely but consistently.
She’s perfect if you want a soft, encouraging motivator who cheers you on rather than pushes you.
FIGHT - THE COACH
I’ve only used Fight twice, and both times I felt a kind of tugging at my mind and heart like i'm being pulled along (The heart part might just be the caffeine, tbh.) Still, Fight’s energy is enthusiastic, eager, and very hands-on. She wants to help, and she’ll push you toward your goals within the timeframe you set.
If you need firm guidance and steady momentum, Fight acts like a coach who keeps you on track.
THUNDER - THE COMMANDER
I’ve used Thunder only once and honestly, that was enough.
My Thunder is loud, reactive, and forceful. His energy fills the whole space, and he makes his presence known like a very annoyed old cat rumbling in the corner.
He’s perfect if you need to shock or strong-arm yourself into action—the kind of motivator that roars you into motion rather than gently guiding you.
Being a student myself, I’ve struggled a lot with staying focused and keeping on task. In hopes of helping other students or anyone facing similar challenges, I want to share this spell.
This spell’s purpose is to anchor a fragment of your focus into the mirror, allowing it to take form as a second presence who acts as your accountability companion.
what you will need:
A calm or focused mind
A mirror or any reflective surface
The Mirror Card or the Mirror Sigil
the step:
Settle your mind. Close your eyes and ease yourself into a calm, steady state. If true calm isn’t possible, focus will do.
Call upon the Mirror. Invite the Mirror to manifest. Feel their presence forming around the reflective surface.
Channel your energy. Direct your focus down from your shoulders, through your arms, out your fingertips, and into the mirror. Imagine the energy flowing smoothly and filling the surface with
Meet your reflection. Open your eyes and gaze into the mirror. Take note of your features. Imagine (or witness) the Mirror shaping itself into your likeness—your eyes, your lips, your expression.
When it feels complete, smile.
The Mirror smiles back, confirming that the connection is sealed.
State your intention. Tell Mirror your study plan. For example:
> “Okay, we’re going to finish this assignment, take a break, and then move on to the next task.”
Close the ritual. When you’re done, look into the mirror and thank Mirror to release them.
NOTE: This post aims to discuss Madokami through the lens of Pop Culture Paganism. The majority of what's put here are based from my experiences with her.
I. WHO IS MADOKAMI?
Madokami, otherwise known as the Law of the Cycles is a pop culture entity that originated from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica media. She was formerly human, until she made a wish that was able to prevent puella magis from witching out in the past, present, and future, and to take away their pain. That wish made to an incubator was the same thing that ascended her into divinity as the guardian of magical girls; it was also used to take down Walpurgisnacht in the show.
Her name as an entity came from the one she took upon as a human being, Madoka Kaname (鹿目まどか), and the Japanese word for a divine spirit, Kami (神). Bringing Madoka and the word Kami together was how the title-name "Madokami" was created. Her given name, Madoka (まどか) has no specific meaning but if it was written in kanji, it would mean "round" which represents the cyclical nature of magical girls. In other translations, she's also referred to as Ultimate Madoka or Goddess Madoka.
She is portrayed to have an infinite amount of hair strands, which in reality would be impossible to carry due to its infinite weight, but this is to depict the infinite grief and weight of responsibilities that she had taken upon herself. Meanwhile, Madokami was also shown to be capable of creating little 'extensions of herself', such as the form she uses whenever she flies off to save a puella magi. This form is humanoid and identical to the magical girl transformation outfit that she had before ascending.
As a concept, Madokami is meant to represent the idea of hope amid disaster and adversity, being the reason why puella magis no longer have to turn into self-destructive witches that spread negativity to others and on why Walpurgisnacht, who Homura Akemi couldn't defeat despite the timeloops, was defeated. For this, she was labelled as the hope of all magical girls, as it gave puella magis a chance to not end up into a monstrous demise.
Miscellaneous: Cycles, Transformation, Change, Magical Girls, Love, Hope, Inner Strength, Light, Despair, Grief, White Feathers, Pink Feathers, Red Ribbons, Yellow Ribbons, White Ribbons
V. OFFERINGS (All UPG)

Honoring Acts: Being kind to other people, helping stray animals, participating in volunteer work, forgiving yourself, keeping a red ribbon as a lucky charm, baking/cooking, taking care of yourself (mentally and physically)
VI. WHAT CAN SHE HELP WITH?
Magical girl contracts, shadow work, self-work, talking with magical girl familiars, interacting with incubators, communication with entities, cleansing, banishing, protection, cleansing soul gems, magical girl duties, astral projection, glamour magic, transformation, ending a cycle, changing, self-revolution, finding balance, letting go, moving on
VII. MY EXPERIENCES
I've known Madokami for almost a year. To me, she would appear in numerous but consistent ways. How she presents herself to others may be different to how she may show herself to you, so please do note that!
Personally, she appeared to me in these ways:
· A silhouette of a sparkling pink universe/galaxy, either with the shape of Ultimate Madoka or humanoid Madoka with pigtails. At times, she has yellow irises, but on other occasions, she remains as a silhouette with no facial features.
· Ultimate Madoka as her magical girl form. Whenever she interacts with me in the astral in this form, she has this soft and subtle glow on her skin. Her eye color may change from yellow to pink.
· Ultimate Madoka as her divinity form.
Whenever I hear her through clairaudience, her voice has an ethereal vibe to it. It sounds layered, dreamy, and fuzzy, with an echo. It sounded like her voice was a compilation of several other Madokas combined into one.
Her energy feels comforting and safe, as if I'm under a cozy, thick blanket, during a heavily stormy day. Another way that I'd express it is that being around her makes me feel calmer, softer. Whenever she's with me, it's like I'm being embraced and soothed by feathery wings. In addition to that, I can describe her as having a gentleness akin to a lullaby on the music box.
She helped me before in performing my duties as a magical girl and had given me boosts while I was in the astral. I think that she's trustworthy! If she's unavailable, then she sometimes sends in one of her assistants as the Law of the Cycles, which includes Sayaka Miki and Nagisa Momoe.

Except it's themed around developing your magical practices! I see a lot of newer magical girls having similar questions, and I think asking yourself OTHER questions like the ones below can help! It's okay if you don't know the answer yet, that just means you still get to figure it out :)
Feel free to answer through a reblog, or asks that people send. Questions are below the cut!
💘 What inspires you to be a magical girl?
💫 What do you want out of being a magical girl?
🦄 What do you like in a concept? (if you have a concept)
🩰 What do you not like in a concept? (if you have a concept)
🌟 What's something about your current practice you'd like to change?
🎀 How committed are you to working as a magical girl?
🌸 Are you interested in team work? Or do you prefer to work alone?
🌼 Are you more interested in physical or astral work? Or something else entirely?
🪻 Are there any magical practices you want to do but haven't? Why haven't you done them?
🧁 What magic work do you do outside of your magical girl work? Are they intertwined?
note. my experiences are different from yours, and my personal journey as a magical girl does not define a set standard of what a magical girl must be.
as a magi, my eyes became open to perspectives that i never knew i would even dare to consider before because of how outlandish it may seem to others. as both a practice and a way of life, it shaped some of my philosophies and changed a lot about who i am.
🍋 fighting isnt the only way to be a magi. being a magical girl who does engage in combat a lot, there are also other ways that i can help. you can work behind the scenes and purify any curses that may harm others, serving as their protection, but you can also work on the front lines—speaking up for what's right, caring for both living and nonliving things, donating what can be donated, volunteerism, and other things. all of those are also very magical girl-ish tasks!
🍋 never apologize for what you want. being a magi means that there is something that you want to achieve or see into fruition—whether it is the vision of seeing smiles upon people's faces, to grant your own wishes, or to bring your own wonder and hope back to life.
🍋 it is never a mistake to hope. it will never be a sin to want something better than your current situation—and if you have the power to do so, by any means, use your hope and idealism to do something about your own circumstances, even in small ways. idealism is not a flaw.
🍋 take your time. be gentle with yourself; life as a magi can demand a lot of you, such as your psychological or physiological resilience, but it does not dictate your worth as a magi or as a regular person. being a magi taught me that my burnouts should be taken seriously and that i deserve the time to rest, otherwise i wouldnt be able to do my duties properly. in addition to that, your duties arent going anywhere! take breaks that are needed, or if you really just want a break.
🍋 a wish is an oath to yourself. every wish and what-ifs that you utter can become a promise, a way of living, and a way of knowing. there is nothing wrong with having supposedly childish ideals because all dreams start there. if you have a wish or goal, then for the sake of yourself and your future, work towards it.
🍋 a wish is a possibility. in a world where the act of dreaming and hoping is frowned in favor of pragmatism or realism, even a small wish is capable of sparking up new pretty lights that people wouldnt even want to see at first. each thing that you hope for, if you work hard to see it come true, can teach you so many things and place you into a path you never believed you'd be on.
🍋 everything has potential. the prospect of having a standard of potential, whether it is in a magical or metaphorical context, can become restrictive. questions such as "am i truly capable of this?" or "do i have enough potential for this?" can create limitations, though i understand the need to weigh out the pros and cons, but do you want it?
🍋 everything has a consequence. this ties in with the aforementioned learning i have gained from being a magical girl. sure, i can work hard for something—but it has its own consequences, being a carrier of hope—a believer of hope has its own consequences. if you want something, then you should be prepared to face whatever may occur as a result. changes, though small at first, are bound to happen and cause a ripple.
🍋 this is your life, so go and own it. your actions are your own, your perceptions are your own, and your existence? it is independent, it is of its own. no one knows you the same way you do. you have free will, go and use it, but bear your responsibility.
🍋 discover; know what you stand for. because of being a magi, i developed a more stable sense of self and it also solidified my views; my identity; my idea of what is worth fighting and staying alive for. if you know what it is that you're a magical hero for, what you are fighting for, then it can serve as your backbone.
🍋 no one else is going to do it for you. you can find and develop your own resources, you can form alliances, and you can find changes in your life, but see that none of those would even come to be without your initiative. becoming a magical hero is a decision; it is a step forward; it is a choice. my words may sound cringe, but a lot of your life can be influenced by you.
🍋 small things matter. little wins and achievements are a part of growth, each and every grief seed i collect is a testament to my gradual progress. one day, you'll get to where you want to be.
🍋 you dont have to be good all the time. as a magi, i also can make plenty of mistakes and it is a natural and human thing to do. you dont have to be optimistic or hopeful, and personally, i do admit that my personality does not align at all with how one would imagine magical girl to be. you are neither dirty nor impure for tendencies that can happen to everyone—you may have negative feelings or experiences, but you are still allowed to believe.
i think that a lot of what i typed up are probably really cliché, but they are the things that i hold close to my heart. i've been a magical girl for a few years and have fought as one, both literally with my magi transformation and all that jazz, and also figuratively.
as a magi, you do not have to fight everyday nor be productive everyday, and you are allowed to be pessimistic at some point, but know that you can get up and try again. truth to be told, being a magical girl helped me a lot with coping through my day-to-day life, and it's okay to be that way!
