Lucy has four brothers and one sister, falling somewhere in the middle of all of her siblings when it  comes to age.
Despite being a middle child of sorts, Lucy has always been incredibly close with her siblings. Their parents were hardly parents at all. She was practically raised by her siblings rather than her parents.
To her parents, she was just another mistake. As were the rest of her siblings and there was nothing they could do to change their minds. Â
Growing up, Lucy was often the one to shell up and not let people in. Close friends were not something she really had growing up. Not to say she didnât know a lot of people. Who didnât know the kids with the drug addict parents that would show up to school in the middle of the day high as a kite? Everyone knew that kid.
And so Lucy did her best to keep her mind off of her parents, to stay busy. Lucyâs biggest saving grace was music. She always had an earbud in and the world turned off if she could help it. While she never wanted to be a musician because of the lifestyle it often ended up leading too, she filled plenty of notebooks with song lyrics.
The brunette was known to cut  class, but she only ended up in the bleachers playing her guitar and trying to find the peace she so desperately wanted.
When the music wasnât enough, Lucy worked out. It was honestly the only way that she really burned off  any steam about her parents. The harder she ran, the more she lifted, the  harder she hit the punching bag, the more her hatred for her parents grew. The more that she wanted a different life than the one they provided for her.  Â
Lucy cut her parents off the day she turned eighteen and gained some independence. She took out student  loans and got financial aid and hightailed it out of Tupelo for college. While she didnât go far to keep close to some of her siblings, she went far enough away and refused to take any phone calls, messages or letters from her parents.
In college, Lucy started off studying business. She wanted to make a career for herself, which was more than her parents could ever offer her. Lucy was not inclined to make a name for herself, but to be able to support herself.
College was a time that Lucy began to explore a lot, sexually and romantically. Lucy would never admit  that she needed attention, but she often sought it out in all of the wrong places. It distracted her from her studies, though she pressed on and graduated college with a bachelors degree.
Graduated and starting her first job working in a marketing company, Lucy was only twenty-four years old. She was the new person on the job in a company full of people who had been there for decades. The youngest and one of five females had her feeling lost and confused most of time.
It was during this vulnerable   time in her life that she met someone within the marketing department that   took her under his wing. Lucy was taught his finest secrets, including how   to be his secret. Without many healthy relationships under her belt in the   first place, Lucy didnât see the signs until it was too late.
For two years, she was cut off from her siblings. It was a time of darkness for her, but even if she tried to reach out to them, the repercussions are far worse. And so, she  didnât. Lucy pretended like her entire life was sunshine and rainbows, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
She was convinced she was head  over heels with him. No matter how many times he raised his voice or broke dinner plates to the wall to the side of her, she was convinced she loved him. And so, she married him. She thought because he took care of her financially that she owed him everything.
When she fell pregnant with their first child, Lucy was convinced that it would change their lives for the better. That it would soften up the man she thought she had fallen in love with all those years ago. However, not long after the pregnancy began, it  ended.
Then came the news that she was unable to have children. The news that sent her husband over the edge. His inability to deal with not having children pushed the two of them apart and he divorced her shortly after that, but not before spitting nasty words in her face.
And so, at twenty-six years old, Lucy crawled back home to Tupelo with her tail tucked between her legs. Her life at college is one she prefers not to relive and incredibly few people know about. Even her own siblings only know bits and pieces  about the entirety of her college career and marriage. As far is anyone is concerned, she was married and now she is not. End of story.
There was nothing about her time away from Tupelo that softened the brunette, in fact it hardened the heart  inside her chest more than ever.
Upon her return to town, she  went back to her old habits of working out. She rarely left the gym and Lucy had no intention of gaining muscle or actually being fit, but it was the only way she knew how to let off steam. Her dedication and time in the gym guided her into being a personal trainer. It started off with someone asking her if they could help her and then, well, it simply took its course and Lucy never looked back.
For the last three and a half years, Lucy has been a personal trainer at Scottyâs. She has restored her relationships with her siblings, even if they donât know the whole truth about her life. She isnât the most open or welcoming person at the end of  the day, but with some gentle guidance from her younger brother, DJ, she is learning how to at least place nice with the residents of Tupelo from time to time.
