did shawn stop posting more personal stuff because "fans" were too horny? or?? (i'm not on any social media so i'm out of the loop)
did he say or allude to any of this specifically?
when shawn returned to social media specifically to twt he was posting selfies and interacting with fandom on a pretty good basis. unfortunately fandom can be toxic and there were a loud section of fans who didn't want shawn interacting in fandom space and/or just didn't like him at all. any time shawn posted anything he had fans pushing back, fighting with each other and attacking him in his replies. he was seeing everything fandom was posting about him. good, bad, the ugly. he was seeing it. he decided to take a step back because fandom was being weird. he mentioned to fans at a convention he attended about how he didn't understand the hate he got on twt. he's also mentioned it in several interviews.
he talked to gold derby about how social media can be a bummer because the negativity can outweigh all the positivity when all he wanted was to have fun with fans
Thank you for the explanation! I generally don’t watch the interviews so those were things I completely missed.
of course! i usually just stick to the shawn of it all but noah was saying some really questionable things in the interviews over the course of the season and it was hard to not come across excerpts from interviews and videos from fans discussing his remarks.

I’ve seen a lot of Noah hate on the dash, not just you, but other blogs as well. I wanted to ask if there was a particular reason why. I haven’t seen anything from the actors from the Pitt calling him out or reporting bad behavior. So I’m just wondering if I missed something.
oh gosh i don't even know where to start. i didn't care about the man one way or another until after s2 got under way and more so after the season ended. there was his past behavior on er (he had an ego and treated other cast and crew terribly and has spoken publicly about it) that i was aware of but also took into account that it was over 20 years ago and the man could have grown and become a better person and coworker. apparently the fuck not. a lot of my disdain for the dude comes from interviews he's done over the past few months. a huge ego with heaping piles of sexism and misogyny. he made jokes about bringing him another woman to yell at while on the set of the pitt. the way he handles criticism of robby and his relationship with his female staff. robby berates them out of support and feminism according to him. the way he and company handled supriya's exit. go-to company line that made zero sense. the condescending way he shuts down any talk off a night shift spinoff. told the paleyfest audience that they THINK they want a spinoff but we (the fans) really don't. he also said in an interview that a night shift spinoff would be boring because only moms work at night. he has this patronizing attitude that makes me want to roll my eyes anytime he speaks about the show and his role within it. the way he told the cast that the pitt was the best they were ever going to get. nothing was ever going to compare to their time on the show. there are other things he's said in interviews over the year but these were the ones that drew my attention.
in conclusion... he annoys me. i don't like his face.
i love all the pranks they do to one another throughout the seasons. my all time faves: hiding sammy's towel and the "squeeze my hand" pranks 😂
the only thing ben sherman ever did that i fully supported 100% was him hiding sammy's towel
