It hurts my heart thinking of how much he has been through. He had such a painful childhood and was treated horribly by his brothers and Beron. Jesminda, his lover, was brutally killed by his own family and he was forced to watch it happen. They hunted him next, hoping to kill him, forcing him to run away from the Autumn Court. He was given shelter by Tamlin in the Spring Court, where he somehow tried to fit in and find a purpose but his skills were never appreciated. He was sent to Amarantha, who ripped his eye out and scarred him for life. Tamlin asked him to take his place in the Rite, where Ianthe raped him. He was tortured and lashed at while he was captured Under the Mountain. He constantly vouched for Feyre even if it meant going against Tamlin, the only person who gave him a place to live when he was being hunted by his own family. Feyre used him to fuel her agenda of ruining Tamlin. Ianthe attempted to assault and rape him again. He was disrespected in the Night Court, yet he used his skills and helped them by becoming their emissary. His aunts were killed, butchered and tormented. His mother was sold off by her family and forced to marry Beron who tortured, belittled and bruised her. Helion turned out to be his father instead of Beron, a fact he is still unaware of. He watched Elain, his mate, love and mourn over somebody else. He was always respectful towards her and never expected anything from her, yet she constantly ignored him. He set off alone to the human lands and found Vassa and Feyre's father, bringing them back as support in the war against Hybern. He went back to help Tamlin out of sheer loyalty but was assaulted by him. He found friends in Vassa and Jurian, and tried to create a home with them but was taunted about it by Feyre.
He has went through so much pain, misery and trauma and yet, he has such a golden heart with so much goodness and loyalty.
