I can not read more about Nesta and I don’t care at all about her side character friends. Even if this is backstory, I’ve already read those boring crescent city books. I can’t sit through more filler or anymore friendship bracelet, badass training, Valkyrie BS.
So my thoughts are these:
if the titles are true (I need to have them in front of me for reference), Splintered Harmony could refer to a mate bond or it could be a prequel. A reference to the corruption of the Cauldron. So the first book could be what we know as the Twilight of the Gods. How the Asteri corrupted the Cauldron and how it started to give 'bad bonds' to the Fae. THat would connect both themes. Might be about Theia and her story from Prythian's perspective. Plus, we might find out what the Vallkyies were, how they came about, their connection to Dusk, and possibly to the witches, and maybe even the 13 of TOG. (Because I think that THERE is a connection).
In addition, we know that Mor knew the Valks. Mor, as it stands right now, has no story. Plus at the end of ACOSF, it was hinted at Mor taking over the training of Valks.
So it's quite possible that the first book will be heavy on lore. Not to mention that Mor is the scion of the original Night Court rulers, and we still don't know what happened between the upstairs and the downstairs Night Court. As in Night Court vs Hewn City.
The second book is literally about Dusk. A Court of FORGOTTEN (Dusk was forgotten) Melody (shadowsingers come from dusk).
The spindle makes an appearance again, just like in the puzzle piece, which was on Elain's side. Seer/Weaver of Fates?
Also, the covers seem to be a reference to the ACOTAR monsters. Bones for the Bone Carver, spider for his sister Stryga, and fangs/shadows potentially for Bryaxis.
Bone Carver's and Stryga's brother is Koschei. And Koschei is related to everyone, especially Elain, Vassa, Lucien.
I am just saying that people are looking at things too literally.
Like SJM is not writing 1500 pages of Valkyrie training. LOL. I think everyone needs to wait and see what info we actually get.

If you genuinely think Elain and Lucien are going to end up together because they're mates or because Elain "rejected" Az's necklace and he felt a "spark" while imagining Gwyn or if you think a Bonus Chapter is more important than the actual content of the book that EVERY READER IN THE WORLD reads… then you really understand nothing and you should probably stick to fanfics that give you what you want, because what you're imagining with Elain/Lucien and Azriel/Gwyn IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
Sarah has been setting up Elain and Azriel since ACOWAR, and if you're worried about "Lulu needing to be happy", Sarah basically changed his story so his path could intersect with Vassa's... but of course, that's not what you want, because you don't actually care about Lucien as a character, you only care about not having to read Elain choosing Az

Azriel wants to invoke a blood duel (for the second time in his life) for lust. Question his God? Lust. Stare at her gift for a YEAR straight? Lusssssst. Stop spying not only on her but her mate too? Move away from her? Get jewelry unique to her alone? Tire himself to the VERY bone with extra practice? Stop coming to family dinners? Stop SLEEPING? That's right. LUST. Bro is so in lust with her, he basically said 500 year old lover WHO? Said over my dead body she dies and then gave her his legendary blade that he lets no one touch. But nah nah nah. I love this line and scene cause it shows us our first glimpses into Azriel’s personality and dynamic with the ic and bat boys and also why he gravitates towards Elain.
He’s the introvert of the group, hes quiet and solemn by nature. We see over and over that its sometimes too much to be around so many extroverts like we see in the IC even though he loves them. We see this behavior with non family extroverts too, like Gwyn, he doesn’t match that energy at all.
So when he makes it a point to choose to spend time with Elain and seek her out it’s notable. No one is pushing him to do anything, it’s what he wants to do. It brings him peace to just sit and just exist with another person that matches his energy. Both he and Elain have the same stoic dry humour and quips that most people don’t even consider banter but its their preferred kind. They are literally perfect for each other.
