Secret Love

He can't sleep because he's thinking about her. He stares at her little gift every night. If he stays still for too long, his mind immediately goes back to her and he spends hours thinking about her without being able to touch her. He believes she belongs to someone else, while also knowing that she doesn't want to belong to someone else. He thinks his hands are too stained to touch someone as lovely and gentle as her, but he still can't keep himself away, even if all he gets are a few fleeting touches and brushed fingers.

And then, the moment those feelings are finally returned, his High Lord, his brother, his king, tells him he can't have her because being with her could start a war. But let's be real, Azriel would burn the world down for Elain if he had to.

He looks at her, watches her, yearns for her, protects her loves her, but he can't have her. Not yet.

And that's exactly why ACOTAR 6/7/8 has so much potential. A couple choosing each other over fate, over a mating bond, over the orders of a High Lord, over what everyone else expects of them.

Hello! I am very happy to finally share this piece that is undoubtedly an absolute marvel!

I suppose it is super obvious what the reference used for it is. When it came time to brainstorm a piece for Words Unspoken this was my initial idea. I can perfectly imagine such a scenario between Elain and Azriel, after the end of the bonus chapter of acosf, anguish and longing in equal measure.

The looks shared between Elain and Azriel mean so much, there is no need for them to utter a single word. I know they will be one of those couples who communicate with their eyes and instantly know what the other is thinking. I hope you like it very much! 💕

It just means Sarah doesnt see their story "ending" with their book out. They go on to live their lives. They will grow and make mistakes and learn from those mistakes. They will face hardship...etc. this is what she means.

She said this for Feyre as well. Was it her book next in acotar? NOPE. but she did get a pregnancy arc. She grew from it. Rhys grew from it. They learned and faced hardship.

So this is what she means when she says "their story isnt over" not that "oh that book was just not the ending I will write more" it just means even though we read 700-800 pages book and their story is finished from our end...doesnt mean they dont live their lives in the fictional universe in Sarah's mind.
