take a class on a weird topic ( knitting, yoga, archery, etc )

make a vat of slime

play in a pool of orbeez

go on a food trip around town - try a new dish at a different restaurant

conquer a fear

make a dollhouse / treehouse

put inflatable pool toys in the lake

go go-kart racing

spend an entire day only using segway as a transport

make a fort in an apartment lounge

go trampolining

“– Nope. You?”

“Nah, I’m from Texas. You know, it’s weird: I haven’t actually met anyone here that’s from here.”

“Who does not have that weakness?” Grantaire agreed, accepting the hand shake.·“My name is Grantaire. Pleasure to meet you.” Apollo nudged against Grantaire’s leg and looked up with expectation.·

“The pretty girls one, or the dogs one?” Leo says with a chuckle, giving the man a grin. “Nice to meet you too, Grantaire.”

“– Clint. Nice t’meet you.”

“Same to ya. Are you from around here?”

Grantaire smiled at the strange. “ ‘e is, isn’t ‘e?” He replied as he shook his head fondly at his dog who was wagging his tail excitedly as he got attention from the other. “You need to be careful or ‘e steals your ‘eart forever.”

“Too late for that,” he says with a chuckle. “I’ve got a severe weakness for pretty girls and dogs.” Offering a brief look up at the man along with a mischievous grin, he holds out his free hand to shake. “I’m Leo.”

“There’s no chance for us, it’s all been decided for us, this world only has one sweet moment set aside for us, who wants to live forever,” Grantaire was singing lowly under his breath as he took Apollo for a walk in the park. When he heard that song for the first time, it struck a chord deep within him, reminding him of his last moments back in Paris. The guns pointed at Enjolras and then at him, too. The permission. A touch of hands. It was almost ironic, how this song, written centuries after what had happened, was so fitting for that last moment. As he did not pay much attention to his surroundings, he hadn’t realized that Apollo had started tugging on the leash and was trying to get to someone. “Oh, I apologize, Apollo likes to say ‘ello to everyone.”

In all honestly, Leo’s not really expecting a dog’s wet nose to wiggle it’s way across his leg. His type of pet is usually mechanical, and much, much larger. That being said, he’s always liked dogs: they always seem to be happy and bouncy, which is always a good kind of energy to have around. Leaning down, he reaches a hand out to scratch behind the dog’s ears. “Hey there, buddy.” His eyes dart up to the apparent owner, an easygoing smile on his face. “It’s all good, man. He’s pretty cute.”

“– Yeah, I know the type.”

“Don’t we all. I’m Leo, by the way.”

“– Who?”

“Oh -- Beauty Queen’s what I call Piper: she’s my friend back at camp. I swear, chica would fight anything you put in front of her.”

“Yeah, a no-go.” She confirmed with a nod of her head. “No idea, physics was one of the worst classes I ever had to take in high school, but I’m sure it is. It makes zero sense that less fabric makes the prices go way up.”

    she DEFLATES considerably. it would’ve been nice to know SOMEONE, but in reality, what was she expecting?? the smile on her lips morphs into a small frown, as she nods solemnly, as she tucks a piece of hair behind her hair. “ oh, really?? “ she glances up at him, and the smile returns as fast as it had come. “ right, sorry. i’m BIANCA DI ANGELO. what’s yours?? “

“Now see, that’s the kind of thing I like to hear! Stick it to the man, they don’t need to know about my bath habits! Its not like I’m totally submerged in a tub of water. I could totally put out any and all fires.”

“Well, maybe not an alcohol fire. Water makes those worse...” He’d learned that one the hard way at a very young age. Nowadays, he kept pretty much every possible fire extinguishing mechanism in his apartment, but he wasn’t gonna share that detail with a total stranger. “-- but I totally get your point.”

“– …No. It’s an expression, man.”

“Oh. Phew. I bet Beauty Queen loves that one.”
