Every muscle in Juwon's body remained taut, her heart pounding so violently she could barely hear herself think. The moment he stepped away from the ledge, she instinctively caught his hand tightly, only allowing herself to breathe and let go once both his feet were safely on solid ground. " thank god ..." she whispered, pressing a hand against her chest. Then he started talking... and didn't seem to stop. With every sentence, her eyes widened a little more. goodness... that's a lot. She tried to keep up, mentally piecing together each problem as it came. One problem after another... how does someone even end up having such problems? by the time he finished, she could only blink at him for a moment. "... so," she began carefully, "your ex-girlfriend got to your future husband first... who she only met because of you, then your car broke down and would cost your savings, and you lost the role you wanted because you ended up as the understudy?" She breathed out as she cleared her throat, not really knowing what to say exactly and what to start with. " um give me a second, let me think." Her lips pursed thoughtfully before she suddenly looked back at him, eyes lighting up. " okay, your car first! I have a friend who's a mechanic! I can ask him to fix it for a lower price, and if it's still expensive, i'll cover half for now. you can pay me back whenever." She nodded as though solving each problem one at a time would somehow make the pile seem smaller. " as for your relationship..." She shook her head, her gaze drifted toward the ground as she absentmindedly ran a hand through her hair, forcing herself to think before she looked back at him. " i know it hurts, but... maybe it's better you found out now than after marrying someone who didn't deserve you, right? They seem like assholes anyway so maybe it's for the better!" She took another breath before continuing, " " and... the understudy role?" She paused, brows knitting together as she searched for something encouraging to say. " who knows? maybe that day the lead or someone else won't be able to perform, and they'll need you." She stopped for a moment, thinking before continuing, " and even if that never happens... maybe you can look at it as a chance to learn! every performance, every rehearsal, it's still experience, isn't it? It could help you land an even bigger role one day... maybe even the lead. you just have to be a little patient." Her nervous smile returned, hopeful despite herself. " see? There are other solutions than jumping... right?"
