Rumple comes home very distressed and goes right to his tower and slams the door despite Belle speaking to him trying to get his attention. Hours pass and Belle bangs on the door so hard it echoes through the whole castle. “Rumple I know you heard that if you do not open this door I swear to the Gods I won’t speak, touch or cook for you for a week!” This did not get a response. Belle sighed and calmed herself. 

 “Rumple, my love whatever it is you are facing can I please face it with you? This is not just about you it is about both of us, we are a team remember? I think have things that would help you as well…so please please let me in. At least let me into the room if you can’t let me in emotionally right now. I am so sorry I was gullible.” Belle is sobbing now…Rumple was already going between rage and weeping but this is too much for even his dark and dusty heart to handle. He opens the door with his magic but continues to look away. Belle comes in and tries to walk towards him. He steps farther away. Belle grabs his hands and forces him to look at her. His eyes are black…. The gold scales on his face are shimmering brightly meaning they are tear stained. Belle has seen that before but this darkness is new. “Rumple…you in there…your eyes… they are…uhm.. different.” 

“Yes dear one I am here. I am sorry, this isn’t your fault anyone would have fallen for a puppy. Especially anyone with a heart full as much love as yours. But can you now see why I kindly requested you not to leave the grounds? I have a protection spell around the grounds for you. If you go beyond there I can’t help you if I am not physically with you.” Rumple feels like a failure, like without this curse is still a coward. 

“Rumple I understand as long as you forgive me I need to show you something. I found these all over the house and they were in places that I clean regularly and I never saw them before today.”

Rumple’s mouth opened wide, he took one and waved it on the ground and an image appeared. It was a recording of them, making love. “Where were we Dearie?” Rumple punctuates with his impish giggle that comes out when he is being extra naughty . “Oh yes you were destroying yet another one of my shirts.” Belle reaches for him but suddenly her hands are tied behind here. Not so fast Belle. Rumple approaches her and takes a single nail and traces the edge of her dress on her bosom. They are so perfect, rumple licks his lips. With wide eyes he looks at all 3. “I Know who you are Dearie. You will pay for this, with your life. I will hunt your families if I find them and I will hold them prisoner for all eternity. OH and I will still kill you either way. See you soon.”  And with that they disappear. 

Belle is oddly turned on by Rumples strength and desire to protect them. But she is also upset at the thought of him killing…but she starts to think they left her Rumple no choice. My Gods what is going on with my mind, am I dark now too? 

But before she could think another though Rumple is on top of her. Hovering his lips oh so close to hers but not touching. He is also holding her still with his hands pushing on her hips. Then she feels him through all their clothes pushing into her. “What do you want my Belle? Sweet and soft, slow and teasing or rough and beastly Maybe all 3. It is lady’s choice this evening.”

So it has been quiet in the Dark Ones Castle for a few months now, Belle has redecorated...a lot almost too much for Rumpel’s taste but she is the queen of this castle and she bakes the most amazing tarts so he never argues with her. He leaves often unannounced the someone summoned him to make a deal, this upsets his Belle very much but he has to go when summoned due to this pesky curse. 

When he arrived home today he couldn't find Belle anywhere, Library, kitchen, bedroom, outside, no Belle. He started to panic and start growling and cursing every known enemy he has. But then just as he was about to start using magic to locate he heard a faint “Rumple” and he looked at the edge of the property and there was Belle. With a basked full of plants, flowers and being followed by a...what the Gods...is that a puppy?! What on earth does Belle think they are going to do with a dog?!

“Belle, Please let me know when you are going to leave. I...I...got...Um...concerned about you.” “Well Rumple you literally disappear in a cloud of smoke in front of me at least daily so I do not see why I should report to you every move I make. Do you  think I don't get ‘concerned’ about you?”

 Oh his Belle is so smart and witty and sarcastic. Just like he loves her and at the sound of her voice his body is already reacting. “Well my dear, who is this...creature you have with you and why is here?”

“Oh Rumple look at the creature asking why the other creature is here”. She smirked so big and was so pleased with her wit. We can’t have this now can we. Rumple pulled her forward and kissed her hard trying to disarm her protectiveness around this puppy. 

"So may I now inquire where you found this dog?”

“Oh in the forest she was shaking and cold and wet. I had to bring her home and I intend to keep her.” Rumple got a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach…Cruella. Not only has she tricked Belle she now has seen Rumples soft side…his living, breathing, priceless weakness. 

Can I hold this pretty puppy Rumple asks so sweetly with a genuine smile so spot on Belle didn’t even notice that something dark was just below the surface.  “Of course silly, I have not named her yet but she absolutely loves to be held.”

Rumple picks up the puppy and while holding it in one hand surrounds the puppy with magic from the other. And suddenly Cruella is standing before them quite naked for second before she could use her magic to fix that. 

Belle screaming the whole time at rumple that he is a beast and how dare he hurt the puppy like that. But when the smoke clears Belle became silent. 

“Well well well Dearie, what can I do for you? That was an elaborate way to trick my simple minded maid but you couldn’t of believed you would of tricked me, the Dark One.”

“I must admit I thought your love your…Maid…as you call her would have clouded your judgment, well at least that was the word on the street. So I had to test it and see if the gossip was true darling.” 

“It is far from true!” Rumple froze Belle with magic so she couldn’t speak. “I use her, if I show this simple minded thing affection she does my bidding. She is nothing more to me than another object that does work for me. Remember Cruella you tried to love me once, where did that leave you?” 

“Oh how kind for you to remind of that Dark One, in a ditch surrounded by wolves…. But I still don’t believe you. I think if I even touched on hair on her head I would surely Catch your wrath.” 

“Ah yes you would dearie but remember how much Rumplestilskin loves his things… I love them almost as much as my power so again, so sorry the rumors disappoint and now you will leave before I choke the life out of you and leave your body hear to prove to those who think I have gone soft that it is just a rumor.” 

Cruella thinks about her next words carefully very very carefully. Does she help him, get on the Dark ones good side? Could prove to be very helpful or does she let ego get in the way and insult him for being short…hmmm that is immediately rewarding. He is a little nasty imp after all. 

“Dark one, I won’t be the last one to try and take your little maid. There has been spies on your lands, in your castle even in your bedroom. I have heard and seen things that made me think my own eyes were lying. That is why I came today to prove myself one way or thing other. And the proof I had is not the kind you want others to have. I tell you this so you spare my life. I will tell you who is spying for a price…” 

Rumple still has Belle frozen and she is getting very mad but she also is frozen in her own way from all this danger. Rumple waves his hand and Belle can move again. “Belle,I will give you one chance to make this decision on your own without my punishment. Go home now without speaking.” He looks so cruel at her she almost wonders if it isn’t all show. Tears well up in her eyes but she plays along. “As you wish master. I am going now.”

Cruella thinks she is seeing the other side of the story and is obviously  buying it Rumple is relieved. 

“Now dearie talk…. And talk true or I shall kill you with a smile on face. For no one steals or lies to Rumplestilskin and if you talk true there will be a prize waiting for you.” 

Back at the castle Belle paces back and forth and goes from room to room looking for whatever is spying on them. She finds sand dollars hidden in drapes, in the canopy above their bed all over she puts them in a black bag. How on earth did they get in here? What on earth do they do? I clean up there all the time, how cold I not see. Unless they were behind a cloaking spell? Rumple please come home I am so scared. 

Many hours went buy and Belle and Rumple are asleep naked in his bed. Well Belle is asleep rumple is laying a wake playing with Belles hair like he could spin it into gold. Maybe he could spin it into gold…ha! What an odd thought her hair is perfect as it is. Then just in an instant his thoughts turn dark.  How long can he fool himself that this is going to work? How long till she realizes how cruel and unlovable he can be? Rumpelstiltskin vowed in that moment that he would shelter them. That he just wouldn’t go when summoned by greedy kings or evil queens. He would simply stay in his castle. That his magick spells were enough to even keep Merlin the Wise out if need be.

 Belle started to stir and Rumple quickly sat up and removed his arm from around her. “Where are you going you silly man, I just was turning over so I could be closer to you.” Rumple let out a sigh of relief at this notion. “I though you came to your senses dear one and wanted to run screaming,” mocked Rumple. Belle just smiled and kissed him hard and passionately first on his lips then slowly trailing down his neck to his chest. Belle was intentionally not missing a single scale on her way down, ensuring that every shade of gold and green was caressed with her lips. “I know my dear, but this is important, this is something I must show you before we go any farther. I have told you before I am the Dark One yes, that the only way this curse can be removed is death. Then it doesn’t disappear go to the next person who killed me. Belle do you remember this?”

“Yes Rumple I do I remember all of it and that there is only way to kill you per say but you never told me what it was.”

“Well here it is Belle”,as rumple opens a door that was hidden in a tree he reaches inside and pulls out a dagger. This dagger is waved and has black inscription on the blade. As Rumple hands it to her she can see it has his name inscribed onto it. She starts to tremble but she is unsure why…Rumple I do not like this at all and I demand to go home. “But Belle can’t you see, this is me, this is the dark you wanted to kiss away and now that can never happen. This is my fate, one day someone will find this dagger and control me like puppet and after they are finished using me they will kill me. For I cannot even defend myself if they I cannot. Belle I am no man, I am no beast I am the dark one. I am one of many to have this curse. There is no happy ending for me or anyone that loves me”  

Belle stood shocked at Rumple’s last sentence. All she wanted for him and her was a happy ending to live undisturbed in the castle together simply acting as if he is a man…that he no longer has to answer when he is summoned or to serve the evil queen as she sees fit. But she realized in this moment that it will never go away. That she is doomed to love a beast forever for she cold never love anyone else. No matter what that means.  

“Rumple, even if I wanted to run away screaming right now and never see you again I cannot. I love you so much that my heart forbids it. I know you are no man, that you are part man and part monster. That this darkness, this curse lives in you that probably could even turn you against me. Perhaps kill me even will never go away as long as you breathe. But I know all of this, I have known and I still choose you. No matter you say I will choose you. Over and over again, only you Rumple can possess my heart and I give it to you freely. Rumple just stood and stared gently shaking his head in a no fashion. Trying to find the words to protest to have her save herself and run away if she knew what was good for her. But before rumple said any ot that Belle asked him “Are you hungry my love, I can make you your fruit tarts for breakfast and some tea. It will be delicious, and I want you to have your strength, so we can finish where we left off later tonight. Don’t think I have forgotten you interrupted me pleasuring you, which I hope was okay by the way.”  

“It was amazing and I would love to go back to that later but for now some tea and tarts sounds perfect. Shall I get us home dearie, I mean Belle?”

Chapter 2

With the snap of his fingers they were in his room, a place Belle didn’t even think existed at this point. She believed he just stayed in the tower with his potions since her beast never slept. But here she was, Rumple snapped again, and a fire started, candles were lit and her bodice was starting to unlace itself.

“Rumple stop. After all the waiting I had to do you must use your physical hands from hear on out. No magick.”

His world shrunk and got dark…panic creeped in…How am I suppose to make her happy without magick? As a man I was a coward now I am a monster…or beast as she chooses to say. What does a beast have to offer in the ways of love and affection if not through magick?  

“I see you look confused Rumple, I don’t know much about this either sadly. Other than the whispers I have heard from the maidens at my father’s castle…but I can try and lead us…if you want…”

“You are not just a beast, you are my Rumple, the person whom I fell in love with. The Beast that I have feared and the man who let me go when his anger could have taken over. Hush now and kiss me, unless you fear happiness still.”

 “I do dearie, I Fear what will happen when I wake from this dream. For that is what it must be a dream.” Belle walked over to her love whose skin glowed in the light of the fire. Part 1

No other would dare to stroll happily unto the Dark One’s Castle. But he used his magic to get a better look and it was her…his Belle, his love. Looking oddly proud of herself, smirking and giggling like she held a secret to her own. Rumple must have been looking upon her for a long time because she was about to open the castle door. He ran over to his spinning wheel trying to calm his heart and look like he hadn’t missed his maid, his prisoner.

“Oh good, you are back…I needed more straw.” Belle smiled her kind smile at him, the one that warmed even the Dark One’s heart. “You missed me, don’t even try to say you didn’t”. “Well I noticed that I had to my own tea and use magic to keep the fire burning…” with those words Belles smile faded and Rumple quickly backtracked…”so why yes I missed you being in my castle.” Her smile quickly returned but not as big.

 I know I love him but does he love me, is that women right that just by sending me to town, by letting me go it proved that this beast has a heart and that heart has love for me? Part of her believed it with every cell of her body but her mind was screaming at her that she shouldn’t’ of comeback that she was a fool to think she loved her.

“Belle, why did you come back?”

“Because I love you Rumple, because I had to come back. After…well…after I learned something.” Belle went over and sat between him and his wheel, the space that normally no other person inhabits except him. He backed away slightly just from the shock. The words she said to him not even sinking in yet.  She places her warm hand on his lap…so close to…him…he quietly gasps and next thing he knows Belles lips are on his and all of him feels like dissolving into nothing. He opens his eyes and smiles, wondering what is happening. He pulls away when he starts to feel the magic fading from him like water going down the drain. The eerie feeling making him nausea and pained.  

He snaps back and Belle pulls him “don’t stop its working!!”

“No Belle you don’t know what you are doing” …he roughly throws her back then stands and walks away.

“Why would you do that…why would you pull away from my love! From true loves kiss!” Belle screamed at him with the shrill voice of a scorned woman.

Then the Darkness in him starts to boil over, hearing in the most sinister voice inside him. Love you? You think anyone could love YOU! no way you are the Dark One, you have no room for love.

“Shut up Belle! And get out” screamed rumple he started shoving her towards the door with all his beastly strength. She wouldn’t move. She was hysterical and clawing at him, literally ripping his shirt trying to stay on her feet. Ultimately Rumple threw her in the dungeon aka her old room and locked the door. Belle screamed for a what felt like an eternity and then sobbed the rest of the night. Despite her screaming and sobbing the words “Rumple I really do love you” he shut her in their all night. Then he heard her call him almost like a siren a few times in the darkness of the night. He swore he must have been hearing things.

While he paced and spun, fighting his inner battle of light and dark. It was so hard for him not to go to her, get on his knees and beg her forgiveness and kiss her hoping to break the curse still. But he knew moving forward her love for him wasn’t the same. It was tainted by his darkness and even though it might be true love in the meanings of the words it would never be that magical true loves kiss. He would always be a “beast” to Belle now. She surely doesn’t want him as he is. And he has to many magical enemies to be mortal anyway. They would have to live a life running away from death. There is only way to fix this…let her go, and if she doesn’t go force her to leave any means necessary. It is best for her even if she can’t see it. “I will leave her in the cold dungeon all night she will be very mad at me by morning and will glad to leave.”

 Sunlight came and not soon enough. Rumplestilskin went and unlocked the door to find belle laying on the bed sleeping…but naked. He did not expect this especially since the room was frigid. Belles lips were trembling…he snapped his fingers and two blankets appeared on top of her. Belle awoken to a cold feeling that was actually painful all the way down to her bones.

“What were you doing foolish girl!? You could of died of the cold in here!”

 Belle looked at this man…this beast…and she saw pain, tenderness, and love. Rumple has never even spoken to her this much before let alone express emotions. She realizes in an instant he loves her too. He genuinely loves her. With a breath she realizes she is going to have to brave for both of them. She is going to have to rescue him. This idea of rescuing the Dark One brough a smirk and a chuckle to her.

 “What are you laughing at…what is funny I demand to know what you are laughing at!”  “Nothing you silly beast….just that you tell me that you are only a monster yet you speak of emotions and danger that lurks in the dark for you with pain in your eyes.”

Belle moves forward to him and he freezes in place about to snap his fingers and transport bell to her village…clothed of course…But belle grasps his hands before he can do the task. “See I know you rumple you are not going to get away from me that easy. He then notices that when Belle reached up for his hands her blankets fell off her…her skin is perfect. A beautiful porcelain white just like her chipped teacup he cherished. It is in this moment that Rumple knew there was no resisting her…

 “Dearie, if you let me have use of my hands they will be of good use to you.”

“Do you promise not to banish me from the castle?”
