In the midst of enormous challenges so far, we’ve been lucky to celebrate an end to the 366 days of 2020.

I looked forward to a highly prosperous and productive year to start this decade.

But it became clear that this is so much more than that — we’re at an unbelievable phase of demanding transformation in each of our daily lives.

As we usher the start of 2021 moments from now, may we find a renewed sense of purpose, direction, opportunity, strength, love, and most of all, kindness.

This year forged us in fire but we are made of magic. 💫

To my friends, families, and all:

Happy New Year!

The best part, he’s enjoying this ideal life with an ideal partner.

...And I’m here, dreaming.

Even though I already knew that this will not go in my favor, I didn’t expect that I’ll get hurt this much.

I guess I have the answer I need to move on and to improve myself further.

It’s painful because I hoped for a different outcome. That beyond the bad things I had to endure these past months, there’s a day of reckoning.

To tell you, I have this fear of emotional trade, that if I had a week of pure joy, I’ll have to pay it with a fortnight’s worth of misfit days.

I was so wrong about putting myself at the back seat, that’s for sure. I don’t know but these past years, I managed to be happy for others instead. I ended up depending my own happiness on theirs.

Right now, my mind is me telling that I missed out on a lot of things. What if I did this, what if I have that, what if I said yes before?

These will remain questions for years to come but I look forward to a day where I can just answer, laugh them off, and realize —

That at the end of the day, my past decisions made me look at life better than I did before. That these questions are better answered by experience that made me a better person. That beyond my regrets, I rised up higher and stronger.

Everyone deserves to be treated fairly. We get stronger and better as a community when we accept that each of us are different —and this difference should unite us in kindness.

We need to promote a culture of fairness, equity over equality.

I look forward to the day when our collective courage, concern, and most of all, our hope, succeed to finally end this global challenge.
