This is why we need net neutrality and also why internet needs to be considered a utility, like water and power.

Just to be clear this would also make hosting a site from your own servers far more expensive and essentially solidify the defacto corporate monopoly over hosting and thus allow corporations to decide what is allowed to be on the internet even outside of corporate social media.
