Avengers: Endgame Trailer Pros & Cons
Pros:
Most people are already dead, so they are unlikely to kill anyone else we care about. And before you ask about Thanos…I said anyone we CARE about.
We know they shot Loki footage for this movie. So, there is probably going to be Loki footage in the movie. And if not, it will be among the deleted scenes…where all the best Loki footage ends up anyway.
If there’s no Loki in the actual movie, there will at least be some amusing Scott Lang scenes to take our mind off of the shit show our franchise has become.
Cons:
So many other things. Too many to list here.
I thought they’d choose a better title for it. Didn’t someone predict End Game would be the title months ago?
I wasn’t exactly expecting it to be terribly clever.
I don’t see why End Game was such a huge spoiler that the name had to be kept under wraps for 2 years. It leaked months ago and no one was able to divine any spoilers from it.
I think they may be overestimating the literary value of their action movie script.
... they may be overestimating the literary value of their action movie script.
Personally, I feel this may be a wee bit of an understatement!
But on the subject of the trailer itself:
Tony's predicament gave me the shivers. I predict either Captain Marvel or the surviving Asgardians will rescue him, more likely the former.
I really dislike Natasha's blond hair. I totally dug the red and the blond is just blrrgh.
Cap's performance left me unmoved. This probably reflects my unabated CACW salt levels.
But the look on Clint's face got to me.
Thor? Meh. Without anyone to play off (particularly Loki but I would accept others in the circumstances), Thor is forgettable.
Bruce... Hmm. There might be some potential but idk. I would like to see more of Bruce's science genius but I have no faith.
Ohmigod, Scott Lang! That was a nice levening of the depressing atmosphere!
And the name. Avengers: Endgame is hardly spoilery; the secrecy about it was just silly. It was a pretty obvious choice after all.
Oh my. Books!
Loki x Reader Dark Fairy Tales
Alright, so a wonderful follower of mine recommended me a wonderful adult book trilogy (Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by Anne Rice/A. N. Roquelaure) and though I am still at the beginning I am already in love with this book. But the “Sleeping Beauty” gave me an idea for a small
Loki x Reader Dark Fairy Tale Series
Means I would take some fairy tales as base for some Loki x Reader adult stories. I’d plan some to be a dark romance/dark love.
Fairy Tales I have in mind so far:
Sleeping Beauty
Beauty & The Beast
Cindarella
Cupid & Psyche
Snow White
The Little Mermaid
What do you guys think of this idea? If I do it, it would probably mean I really have to abandon One-Shots for some time, because all of these stories would be a multi parter. I am not really a fan of writing multi part stories (you guys know why), but I totally fancy this. Loki, the dark prince…. and the reader, the princess he’s getting obsessed over….
More who would be interested? :/
I would be very interested!
Super duper interested here!
A Very Unpopular Opinion
This isn’t a meta. This is a personal rant about Loki. I’ve come to realize that I’m probably alone in the way I see and love Loki. For a lot of people, Thor and Loki’s relationship is the most interesting thing about them
“There is no Thor without Loki. There is no Loki without Thor.”
I used to love this. I really did. At the begging it seemed like a really beautiful idea that two people can be so close to each other, to be the the yang to other’s yin and vise versa. But then I realized I’ve actually never seen them that way. I’ve never seen them so intertwined to be incomplete without each other. Even though they were to some degree. Specially at the start of their journey. I’ve always found them individually interesting enough without the other. It took a bit time for me to actually care about Thor in the first movie. But Loki, I loved him from the first scene when they were kids. His curiosity, innocence and insecurity just spoke to me. And in the coronation scene, after the brief short shot of Loki I just knew he is my favorite character. I cared about him from then. His life, his pain, his character, a lot of things about him resonated with me so much. And his relationship with Thor wasn’t even in the top five of things that made him interesting for me. I cared about Loki, who Loki was as an individual. The very first fanfics I read about him didn’t even have a lot of Thor in them, or no Thor at all. And I totally enjoyed them. That being said, I do agree that Thor and Loki are very important part of each other lives. Even maybe the most important part. And their issues can’t be completely solved without them being in each other lives. But I don’t find the notion that they complete each other really helping in that matter. I think the most important step for Loki’s recovery is to find himself first. To know who he is without Thor. I think Thor took some steps in that way when he stayed on Earth and was departed from everything he knew his whole life. He broke a cycle and learned new things. Loki needs that too. While the notion that someone complete us might seem beautiful, I believe the sense of being complete must come from ourselves. Loki and Thor need to find the yin to their yang, or the yang to their yin, in themselves instead of each other. And then when they know who they are without the other, they can truly reconcile and solve their issues. When they reach a self-awareness of their problems. So for me, a Loki tv show with only Loki in it, would be completely fascinating. I’d love to see Loki find himself, find friends, have adventures alone(basically I want a adaptation of AoA). Not having Thor in it, doesn’t make Loki for me any less interesting. And after all that, I’d love to see their relationship and love for each other play a key role in an actual reconciliation. Because as much as their dysfunctional relationship might be interesting, that dynamic would get boring. And I’d love to see that actually solved. I’d love to see the both complete and whole on their own, and then standing side by side as equals.
Definitely not alone in this, even though personally after TR I have no interest or sympathy for Thor left. Like, at all. I want Loki to have his own live with people who like him, far away from the vicious cycle that is his toxic relationship with a brother who will NEVER see his worth.
⬆⬆⬆ this so much. I don't hate Thor but Loki's relationship with Thor doesn't make it onto the list of 'why I love Loki' at all.

I recently learned that if you include links on posts on Tumblr that they disappear from search. If this is true then honestly it explains why on tumblr my work receives the least attention, because I always link back to Patreon, DeviantArt, etc. I’m posting some of my art posts again without my links to see how much it helps.
If you see this and you like it please consider reblogging (DON’T repost or remove credit!) so I can see how much of a difference this change will make. Thank you!

Insanely adorable!
A little analysis
So, @kurtsieforlife asked me if I could break-down the following gif for them because I said in another post I had some concerns about this as a blue belter in karate.
*scurries in with a neatly pile of stacked papers. Clears throat to address Loki*
First of all, eyes. Those pretty blue-green-greyish eyes… Sweety, don’t look where you are going to kick, it betrays you. Just keep eye-contact with your enemy so they don’t know what you are up to. Or, in your case, this will be deadly enough on itself because you’d let them drown in those beautiful orbs.
Secondly, that knee which leads up to that gorgeous in leather wrapped thigh. You’re doing fine by lifting up your knee high enough but the angle of the kick is… incorrect. This kick would only double over your enemy and send him backward in a straight line, not upwards to the wall. If you are going to kick someone to make him fly upward you should be kicking from a lower angle. Like, from the floor, crouched on one leg and kicking up with the other. I don’t think we would have survived that though…
Thirdly, the arms. Those strong and finely sculpted arms (which we know of, yes) covered in those magnificent golden bracers. Keep those arms close to yourself in front of your torso instead of flinging them outwards. It will leave you exposed. Had your enemy been able to withstand that kick your torso and face would be open for an attack. Good thing it was just a weakly Human who was clearly gun-trained and not a ring-fighter.
Fourthly, your leg. That long, long, loooong, loooo… … *stares and drools* … damnit! Focus StarScreamLoki! Where was I? Oh, right! That looooong leg. Just before the moment of your foot colliding with the Human he is already staggering backward (hey, stunt people, don’t pull that rope so soon on the Human, Loki barely made contact). Anyway, if you are going to hurt your enemy and either punch or kick them, just remind this rule: you’re not going to kick/punch against them but through them. Ah well, I think your godly powers made up for that.
But, since I’m also someone who like positive encouragement, here are some things you are doing great:
Face; instill fear in your enemies by scowling menacing and angry at them. 11 out of 10 points. (Mark me down as scared and horny)
The scepter: You held on to that thing. Most people would open their hands just to get some extra balance when they are standing on one leg.
Hair flip; just… gorgeous. Those lustrous, black, spiky locks that are going in every direction. Hng.
No killing; very much kudos on this one, I would just have impaled the pathetic human with that sharp scepter.
Foot; kicking with the sole of your foot and not your toes. Very good, otherwise you’d break them and we don’t want that. Although, it gives me a reason to have you in a sick-bed and care for you…
Coat; the lose flaps of your coat that flying around you like you are a dancer. Very elegant. Just that you’re about to hurt someone doesn’t mean you can’t look good while doing so.
Throat; a little exposed but combined with that hair-flip we get a tremendous view on that very lick-able, suck-able and nibble-able throat of yours.
That was it I think… *throws essay out*
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I have to run for my life now because I’m not sure Loki would do well with this critic… *bolts*
“Not Fond Of What Follows” - Digital Oil Painting
Car seat Loki! I love his tight, uncomfortable expression. Acting!
This is NOT a Photoshop filter, every stroke is painted by me.
I love this! Its such a beautiful artwork. ❤ One of Loki's moments of genuinely candid honesty.
This is another one of beautiful shots of Thor 1 that conveys a genius symbolism. Here’s Odin who pitted his children against each other for the throne and his unfair treatment of them set the brothers apart. And he is standing on a broken bridge. The bridge that was broken as the result of the brother’s conflict over the throne, over gaining Odin’s approval, over being worthy. The broken bridge of the brother’s relationship. The conflict that he fueled drove his children, literally and also figuratively on the verge of falling down into an abyss. The brothers are holding to the Gungnir, the symbol of the throne. Their hands are close to each other but the Gungnir, the throne has kept them apart. A symbol of how the throne and their rivalry for it, came between them and set them apart. And Odin, the real reason for the destruction of his family, is standing safely on the broken bridge, and he he is holding Thor, his favorite son, by the ankle, while Loki is the farthest to him in this chain. A symbol of how his lies and his treatment of Loki, drove away Loki more than Thor and how in the end, they pushed Loki away, just like Odin’s “No, Loki”. And as Odin had favored Thor and alienated Loki in all the years, here he held on to Thor and pushed Loki away and left him to fall in the abyss.
Branagh is a Shakespearean director. Shakespeare is layered with symbolism, allusions, double-triple-more meanings... we are still studying those plays centuries later after all! Kenneth's work draws on so much more than cgi flash and glitter; he puts his knowledge of how to convey so much (with words, with setting, with body language, with what is not made explicit) to use and he applies it brilliantly in the cinematic medium.

If there were pretty things in Jotunheim, they’d find Loki.
I’ve become fascinated by more Norse depictions of Loki in fanart. I love this one. Look- the snakes have bells on their tails.
