Some Random Moments Of My Life

Plain and simple. No pic of me. No fancy aesthetic to match my feed. I want these words to stand out so when you you’re watching your stories or scrolling through your timeline you see them and you remember them.

Just last night I was watching @minarimovie and feeling all the emotions of the movie and what it represented for Asian Americans: an American dream story from an Asian American viewpoint, the pride in the big wins and acknowledgement of the film and its actors, and all the similarities in my own experience as a first generation Asian American and the hardships my family went through.

Today I woke up to the horrific news of what happened in Georgia and I’m sad, angry, and scared for my fellow Asian American community. I don’t even have proper words to express all this so I’m sharing some viewpoints and resources I found that say it way better. Thank you to my bff @justinliv for making a graphic I could post to say all this and to all the people using their platform to do the work. The violence and hatred needs to stop. If you’re my friend then be an ally. Stand with us and stand up for us. #StopAsianHate #StopAAPIHate
