           a part of her she hadn't really ever considered missed this.  missed him.   she felt like she was younger, with little responsibility again and living in the moment with no worries on her mind.

             finally, she's able to actually grab his hands and wrists, and tries to still them while gasping for air.   ❝  ...  n- not ...  ❞    a deep breath is taken, her chest rising and falling in rhythm,    ❝  ...  fair !  ❞     she only realizes just how small her own hands are in comparison to his while she tries to gather her own strength.  she knows that compared to him, she's likely not as strong.  still, she's pleased with herself even if temporary as she holds her grip on his wrists, her thin fingers pressing into the skin on the back of his hand and her cheeks flushed with warmth and color as she grins at him.

            ❝  got ya.  now what ya gonna do ?  ❞    she laughs, her gaze locked with his.  she turns just enough to actually climb onto the couch on her knees and raise his hands above his head,   ❝  ask nicely for me to let you go and  maybe  i'll listen.  ❞

he lets her grab his wrists, lets her stop him, because it isn't fun if it isn't consensual. he had always been this way -- had always been one to let aoife set the pace, let her set the tone of their relationship. if he was being honest with himself, he wanted more from her. ever since they'd reconnected, that feeling had become more and more apparent to him. but he would wait -- would sit here with her, tickling her until she loved him. that wouldn't stop him, however, from taking certain liberties, like ticking her in the first place.

the tension in the air was palpable, he could feel it. he wondered, was it just him that felt it, was it just him that felt this way? it couldn't be... right?

A long time ago,  Rey was  convinced  she  would  live  out the rest of  her  days  waiting  for  her  parents  to  come  back.  Then once  she’d  finally left Jakku,  she  thought she'd never  return, at least not willingly. Now, here  she  was,  striding  across  the  sands  of  her  youth  with  a  smile  on  her  face. 

“Come  on  you  two,  keep  up!  I  thought  you  wanted  to  see  the  whole  of  Jakku?”  Rey  playfully reminded, turning  to  see  how  far  behind  Hope  was,  smile  widening  from  the  sight  of  BB-8  rolling  around  his  legs encouragingly. Hope  was  still  young,  but  she recognised his determination from when she was his age.

“So what  do  you  think?”  Rey  asked,  slowing  down  to  give  her  son  time  to  catch  up.  “It’s  not  quite  as  bad  as  I  remember, but maybe that's because you're here with me this time.”  Reaching  to  unstrap  the leather flask, filled with water, from  her  waist,  Rey  held  it  out  to him, urging,  “here,  have some.”  

he  looks  out  over  jakku.  it  had  been  his  idea  to  come,  and  he  was  excited.  he'd  heard  the  stories  from  his  mom  about  her  time  here,  and  he'd  heard  from  uncle  finn  and  bb-8  about  how  they'd  all  met  here  —  and  he  knows  he  wouldn't  exist  without  this  place.  he  wanted  to  see  his  roots,  wanted  to  see  what  his  mom  experienced  every  day  growing  up.  the  longer  he  stayed  on  jakku,  the  more  he  admired  her.
