I had an odd moment of oh my goddamness today thinking about the fact that in a couple years the early 2000s will have been over 20 years ago, and that just doesn’t feel real to me? At first I thought “Oh that’s not too bad”, then I thought of it in the context of “It’s the difference between 1960 and 1980” and that was the point where my mind went sideways and I forgot what my own name meant as I disassociated for a solid five minutes in utter confoundment over the passage of time.
