| â ď¸ |  Discussing what they were to do next was a typical event surrounding the campfire, with some of the conversation littered in the quips and non serious remarks of his companions. One was missing, the newest addition, seemingly to allow them their privacy, and placing herself away from the camp. Eizen does take note of this, always peeking out of the corner of an eye to keep it on her. Still, she has done little which could be perceived as an act out amongst them, and had only helped the team in what ways she could. The Abbey had their ways, however, and he was always on guard, prepared for her to no longer be on their side.Â
Preparing for the worst was what he did best, having little choice, especially with his curse hanging over his, and all of their heads.Â
As the discussion finally dwindles down to a close, Eizen excuses himself, quick to get to his feet and abandon the campfire before Magilou can drag him into whatever strange shenanigans were sure to come to be.Â
He knew he should probably rest up for tomorrow, but he was a light sleeper at best, and a stroll around would allow for him to gather his thoughts, and keep a watch around the campsite.Â
It takes little time before he finds himself coming into contact with the newest addition to their motley crew. He observes her from a distance, watching her prowess with a spear, and the strength in which she takes it to her untimely opponent of a crag.Â
Impressive, at least to an extent, but he has no means or reason to getting involved with her, looking to pass by, footsteps light, and movements evasive. It is to the earth malakâs surprise however, when she turns in his direction, words spoken to him, drawing him to stop.Â
There was definitely something different about her, unhuman, in more than that she was not meant to be here. Her presence reflected so, as did her appearance. He knew of few who would have been able to detect his presence, yet alone hear footsteps meant to make scarce a sound. Her kind must be one of only her own world, for he had never seen or knew of anyone like her.Â
Eizen offers the bare minimum of a nod, brushing past her, to seat himself against a crag she had yet to demolish.Â
âAye, if that is what you wish to refer to it as.âÂ
His hand slips into his pocket, fingers slipping around and finding his coin and vessel from where it rests easily. He clutches it between his finger and his thumb, flipping it and catching it all in one quick motion.Â
âAnd you are busyâŚâ A blond brow arches, his gaze finding her own, somewhat curious to perhaps understand her reasonings, although he already knew what she was up to.Â
âWith a late night training session?â
Had it been any other person, the earth malakâs presence would have most likely have gone unnoticed. However, her heightened Krityan senses and transmundane acuteness significantly attributed towards her awareness.
Even amongst her kind, she was⌠different.
Her time with the Entelexeia and her bond with Baâul had augmented her abilities substantially. Judith had gained the ability to feel âsentimentsâ left behind and was greatly attuned with the spiritual world, in all its shapes and forms. At times, she could even pick up on an individualâs emotions, making it easier to discern whether or not someone was lying or trying to conceal something.Â
More often than not, she picks up on auras. Everyone had their own distinctive aura. Like his element, Eizenâs spiritual semblance was earthy and unyielding. Heavy and bound⌠yet airy and untethered all the same. An assemblage of contradictions⌠much like herself.
His nonchalant response prompted a ghost of a smile as her gaze trails after his form situated just a few feet away. Amethyst coloured hues hones in on the golden coin within his grasp, mildly interested as to which side presented itself - however, she made no effort to examine.
âIâm a rather light sleeper myself so, I take up guard duty and do a bit of training in between. Its part of my nightly routines - Iâm a creature of habit.â Only partially true. The dragon rider suffered from insomnia and very rarely got a full nightâs rest. Soundless slumber evades her, vivid nightmares plague her.
Judith pauses momentarily, shifting slightly in order to face her companion and meet his gaze before continuing. âI suppose everyone has settled in for the evening. Are you out on patrol as well perhaps?â
