I want you guys to all start making a bigger stink about Tumblr's Age Verification Horseshit.
Like they tried to change Reblogs and people rightfully got up in arms, this is a LOT worse. In order to have access to any sort of thing dubbed mature, and We haveALL seen what they think is mature, Everything from a black and white photo of a black woman's arm, to posts about IUD recalls, to a nude painted by a 17th century artist, to anything involving the word Trans; you have to send your personal information to a third party site that WILL get hacked, and you will be doxxed. And they can say "Oh shit, well it wasn't us who sent your name address and gender identity to Moldovan teenagers, here's a couple extra minutes in the ball pit.
That's bad enough!!!!!!!! But the entire idea of needing permission from state authorities to access anything labeled mature by our friendly AI overlords is some fucking Boll shit. Die Gedenken Sind Frie baby. This is all a reaction to people getting uppity about their lowly lowly rights and is being propped up by the same bad actors tht have made life unlivable. Fuck that shit.
"Well it's only being rolled out in Brazil and UK" Yeah, to start. "Well they're being forced to do this by laws." YOu know it's always really funny when these tech giants (Or whatever you call owning tumblr dot com) get really antsy about laws considering they pick and choose which ones they abide by.
This is a breaking point and it's going to be very interesting to see how we proceed from here.
mmmmmmmm hardtack
Going on an extended expedition? Is the hardtack the main ration or backup?
it's for if I get hungry in my apartment
That's what doordash is for.
DoorDash is expensive and takes effort. gnawing on bricks makes me feel like a beaver or perhaps a dodent
what recipe do you use??
You put flour in a bowl and add water until you have a dough and then some salt if you have it. You put it in the oven and bake it at 325 F, plus or minus however much, until it's hard as a rock all the way through.
Is just salt necessary or is iodized salt fine?
Iodized salt tates identical, you just cant tell the difference (if you think you can thats just placebo). And its better for you. So like, theres no reason to ever use anything other than it always.
Yeah but I think iodized salt is occasionally sold with other stuff like anti caking agents or something in it. This isn't a taste thing.

Can't afford art school?
After seeing post like this 👇
And this gem 👇
As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.
Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.
📺Here is my list:
Proko (Free, mostly teaches anatomy and how to draw people. But does have art talks and teaches the basics.)
Marc Brunet (Free but he does have other classes for a cheap price. Use to work for Blizzard and teaches you everything)
Aaron Rutten (free, tips about art, talks about art programs and the best products for digital art)
BoroCG (free, teaches a verity of art mediums from 3D modeling to digital painting. As well as some tips that can be used across styles)
Jesse J. Jones (free, talks about animating)
Jesus Conde (free, teaches digital painting and has classes in Spanish)
Mohammed Agbadi (free, he gives some advice in some videos and talks about art)
Ross Draws (free, he does have other classes for a good price. Mostly teaching character designs and simple backgrounds.)
SamDoesArts (free, gives good advice and critiques)
Drawfee Show (free, they do give some good advice and great inspiration)
The Art of Aaron Blaise ( useful tips for digital art and animation. Was an animator for Disney. Mostly nature art)
Bobby Chiu ( useful tips and interviews with artist who are in the industry or making a living as artist)
Sinix Design (has some tips on drawing people)
Winged canvas (art school for free on a verity of mediums)
Bob Ross (just a good time, learn how to paint, as well as how too relax when doing art. "there are no mistakes only happy accidents", this channel also provides tips from another artist)
Scott Christian Sava (Inspiration and provides tips and advice)
Pikat (art advice and critiques)
Drawbox (a suggested cheap online art school, made of a community of artist)
Skillshare (A cheap learning site that has art classes ranging from traditional to digital. As well as Animation and tutorials on art programs. All under one price, in the USA it's around $34 a month)
Human anatomy for artist (not a video or teacher but the site is full of awesome refs to practice and get better at anatomy)
Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.
📚Here is my list:
The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.
"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.
"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.
"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.
"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.
"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.
"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.
"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.
"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.
Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.
📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.
For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.
💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.
Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )
Procreate ( pay once for $9.99 usd, IPAD & IPHONE ONLY)
Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, animation and more. Free)
PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)
Krita (Free)
mypaint (free)
FireAlpaca (free)
Aseprite ($19.99 usd but has a free trail, for pixel art Windows & macOS)
Drawpile (free and for if you want to draw with others)
IbisPaint (free, phone app ONLY)
Medibang (free, IPAD, Android and PC)
NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.
So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.
I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.
Hope this was helpful and have a great day.
"also apologies for any spelling or grammar errors, I have Dyslexia and it makes my brain go XP when it comes to speech or writing"
Boosting this in case any of the programs and books suggested are useful.
All the photos on this tumblr ad the animal photo reference site I run is another resource available for artists to use!
As long as you’re not using AI to create your art, you can reference / trace / draw / recombine / make any sort of art you want, with any of the photos, for free.

me when i get you
Yes, this. A stunning number of people will default to "because it's illegal." Teaching an intro-level bioethics course will demonstrate real fucking fast that a lot of the population just lets legality stand in for morality.
This post inspired my younger brother and I to debate the ethics of cannibalism during a family dinner (which my mother was Not pleased about), and we concluded it's still unethical/improper, because of the following:
We don't eat any kind of ill/elderly animals for food, because it's dangerous and otherwise poor nutrition. That's how you get all sorts of zoonotic diseases and prion diseases.
In keeping with that, we would need to slaughter a human for their meat. Which is called murder. Murder is Bad, for reasons which can be litigated outside this.
In cases of roadkill/accidental deaths of a healthy and otherwise edible human, eating the flesh of the human is preventing the ability of those flesh bits to actually help other humans, down to the tendons, etc. Brain matter is, once again, dangerous to consume.
If a human has consented to being eaten after death and yet not to be donated for medical purposes, I guess it's fine, but like???? This feels rare and unlikely.
Similarly, cannibalism in extremist survival situations where the dead flesh can't be used for higher purposes is probably fine, in keeping with the recognition that eating flesh of certain kinds of animals is just A Bad Idea.
Point 1: Yes, i largely agree, most sick animals aren't safe to eat, therefore most dead humans aren't either. Consider however that unlike a dead cow or pig or whatever, any dead human is likely to have an extensive medical and diagnostic history, making the risk way way smaller. So basically there's still lots of cases where a human is safe to eat.
Point 2: See point 1, no we wouldn't.
Point 3: Sure, don't eat donateable livers, but there's to my knowledge no such thing as muscle donations, if there is certainly the supply is higher than demand. And that's the part most would want to eat anyways.
Point 4: See point 3, there's likely to be medically useless yet edible parts in a human
Point 5: Yeah, pretty clear case of absolutely fine, here we agree.
Uh, no, we do donate muscle. They’re called cadaver grafts, and they’re extremely common uses of donated bodies.
And domestic-raised livestock definitely has at least as extensive a medical history as a human, as they spend their entire lives in human care being medically treated by humans.
I don’t even know what that point would do to help. The person/animal still needs to die somehow, and either they die of natural causes that make it dangerous to eat, or we slaughter them, or roadkill, discussed as well.
Sorry, you actually just don’t know what you’re talking about, not philosophically, but on a factual basis.
Donating large skeletal muscles (eg. thigh) genuinely doesn't seem to be a thing, and again that's the first thing you'd want to eat. And again such a number of people die with edible legs and arms that im certain once all medically necessary meat has been taken off much remains. There's no way every organ donor gets both their biceps and both legs and back muscles and so on used up.
And also if there is such a thing as large skeletal muscle donation please do send a source, i am genuinely interested in that kind of stuff.
As for medical history, nah, the average long term hospital patient has such a number of tests, scans, and diagnostics done, way more than the average cow or something similar. There is a lot of information on farm animals, yeah, but not a comparable amount.
Yes, this. A stunning number of people will default to "because it's illegal." Teaching an intro-level bioethics course will demonstrate real fucking fast that a lot of the population just lets legality stand in for morality.
No but legitimately, how is cannibalism bad? I find it's not at all, as long as the corpse is already dead. The same thing goes for necrophilia IMO
Like yeah, it is disgusting, but foot fetishes are also disgusting and I ain't gonna call someone getting a footjob evil.
i think it could come down to it being unhealthy since bodies can have diseases, or if the person doesn't consent to it/didn't consent while they were alive. so mostly just either consent or the health risks. though health risks i think wouldn't make it morally bad just a bad idea
But even if the person did not consent, it legitimately means nothing to them. They're dead. They're a lump of meat, no longer a person.
Consent exists to keep both parties sane and not hurt. Non consent from an unfeeling, dead and inanimate lump of meat is legitimately meaningless the way I see it.
Yes, this. A stunning number of people will default to "because it's illegal." Teaching an intro-level bioethics course will demonstrate real fucking fast that a lot of the population just lets legality stand in for morality.
you gotta excise every ounce of reaction from you and use your head n brains
Meanwhile, I'm just sitting over here like: "I have this little thing called empathy and I don't want anyone eating me so I would eat them. Also, soooo many biological hazards to cannibalism, but that's the lesser of my reasons.
Horrible argument tbh. It's structure is:
I wouldn't want anyone to do thing X to me, therefore we should ban anyone doing thing X to anyone
It relies only on emotion (and people can form strong emotions about any position, however bad from your perspective it might be). And on the (false) presumption that others want what you do.
This argument structure can be used to, say, ban not being Christian, i want to be saved by Jesus so my empathy tells me all others should be saved too, whether they want or not.
It can be used to ban gay sex, cause i don't want to take it up my ass, noone sane would want that either. It can, actually, be used to justify almost anything.
Yes, this. A stunning number of people will default to "because it's illegal." Teaching an intro-level bioethics course will demonstrate real fucking fast that a lot of the population just lets legality stand in for morality.
I saw a post about this the other day that was asking (hypothetically, not literally) why incest is wrong, and I won’t lie, I struggled to come up with an answer.
The question assumed: 1) no chance of propagation (same-sex relations, infertile, snipped, etc.) and 2) no unethical power imbalance (siblings of similar ages, distant cousins, etc.)
Like if there’s no chance of having a kid, and no abuse, what is actually the issue? I still don’t really have an answer.
Well yeah, incest in some kinds of circumstances is to me 100% morally ok.
And, if you're unable to accept that yet have no counterargument, that's ok, you can just do what i do.
I call it "putting something on a shelf". Imagine taking that dilemma, putting it on some visible "shelf" in your room(mind), where you'll see it(think of it) every once in a while. If it's sat there for months or years without answer, then you really should accept it.
That way you can slowly change your own ethics, but not have the burden on having to decide everything straight away or become comfortable with something overnight.

it would promote killing humans but then we kill other animals well enough so what about sharing a species makes killing humans such a sin but its completely okay to kill a cow
If cannibalism was normalized it wouldn't just promote killing humans, it would promote selectively breeding them for consumption
A) No it wouldn't, killing someone to eat them would still be extremely illegal because it's murder
B) No it wouldn't, selectively breeding humans for /any/ kind of noticeable change would take a few centuries at the least. Who do you propose would be doing this, vampires?
