All of the James and the Giant Peach concept art+storyboards I could find.
Because, as USUAL, there's next to no archive keeping the concept art afloat as opposed to Selick's other movies, so I had to scrounge for what I could find on google and ebay. One of the sources I could find was a book dedicated to Joe Ranft (Pixar ilumni/voice of Heimlich in A Bug's Life, also this movie's screenwriter)
For now, I chose storyboards that I couldn't find an exact place for where they went in the story.
I have guesses as to what scenes these boards were for, but only guesses, nothing for certain.
Onto the film chronologically, with some conceptual drawings of James and his Aunts.
This small picture with abysmal quality looks as though it's storyboards for the "we're going to New York City!" scene.
The one board I could find for the 'Bird bait/shark' scene, and of course James' pep talk with Mr. Earthworm.
All the bits I could find for the start of the "eating the peach" scene. I like the beat boards which look as though Mrs. Ladybug was trying to cool off Earthworm with her fan. VERY cute.

The 'way off course' bit and the skeleton pirates commanded by Captain-steals-the-rizz-from-the-entire-film-Skellington, and some wholesome old lady yuri at the end.
The 'family sequence'. The bits of concept art I was not able to find online but do exist on the 2000 dvd I have show similar beat boards/colored artwork for this sequence as well.
Aaaaand THAT'S IT. Next to nothing for the entire movie and that's not okay with me. The film scrapbook only had this one spread page for the concept art featuring Lane Smith's designs and work. ONE PAGE. I'm totally normal about this.
One bit of meta I really wish I still had access to is the script which someone posted online, as that had some extra bites of dialogue and some alternative lines. In the meantime, we have to do the leg work for Disney. Here are some similar pieces of concept art I found for visuals that would appear in the movie, like a scene where the tops of clouds look like a desert, an image of Aunt Sponge flying, the clouds forming a rhino with the peach in the rhino's eye and the peach passing by a rhino-shaped island--
--both of which would not only foreshadow the rhino's attack, but show James' terror at the idea of either it or his aunt's finding him again.
And finally, this sketch someone posted on Ebay. It appears to be more of a staff pic than any legitimate concept art, but for some reason it makes me laugh.
Serious "damn son, you live like this?" energy radiating off of Mr. Grasshopper.
