This is super embarrassing for me to do but I’m literally stuck and desperate right now.

I’m 3months pregnant and have a 3yr old. My now ex fiancé of 9 years just went to jail for abusing me and wrecking our house. He was already on probation for the same thing years ago. But yesterday he broke. And did as well today. I took my son and left and he went to jail. I was a stay at home mom. my pregnancy been sooo sick and so I haven’t been working much. Hi everyone, this is Tess again posting on behalf of Laura @idontknowwhattoputhereaah so her family can afford her grandfather Diego’s burial. Thank you all so much for boosting the original GoFundMe I made for her — it reached more than half of its $850 goal, which is amazing! Diego was buried two days ago (1/11) after the family prayed the rosary for him for several days. With your help, the family was able to afford fare to the burial, a barong for Diego to be buried in, groceries, part of Diego’s burial lot, and so much more.

Today (but really yesterday since it’s past midnight for me now) I got some distressing news from Laura: if her family does not pay off their remaining $388 by MONDAY, JANUARY 17, Diego’s body will be removed from its lot and placed in a public cemetery, meaning it will essentially be thrown away out of the family’s reach. So they need all the support they can get to reach their goal.

be careful about when we were young fest!

it’s set up by the same people who did astroworld, which is a MAJOR red flag

idk if this is standard for festivals but the tickets are non-refundable, which is kinda sketchy imo (especially during a pandemic)

the site says wristbands are good for “the whole weekend” despite the fact that the festival is only supposed to be one day? which is a weird error

“tickets starting at $19.99 down” but the cheapest tickets are $224.99

the whole thing is 12 hours with 3 stages, which would leave ~32 minutes per set

I’m also just adding it costs $1200 for a cabana so I’m just going to assume there will be no shade and you don’t have access to running water and toilets unless you pay for the $600 ticket ( VIP ). You will not have access to anything but what I’m assuming is a portapotty under VIP tickets. They also haven’t responded on if water is free or charged.

The last 2 times I went to a live nation concert, water was not free but actually cost $6 per bottle. And as a reminder : there’s no confirmation on shade but I’m assuming since cabanas cost $1200, there probably will be no shade whatsoever. It’s going to be extremely hot that time of year with no shade for 12 hours and no access to running water bathrooms. Based on my experiences, I’m assuming water will not be free but I could be wrong.

Lastly, when we were young has NEVER had 1 day concerts. This is the first one ever to only be one day. Usually it’s 2 to 3 days. 60 bands on 3 stages = there’s room for max 4-5 songs a set if they don’t tear down. There will probably only be 3 songs per set if no one drops out and need to adjust or tear down stage. There isn’t enough time for more than 4 songs at best.

Again do what you will with the information that these managers are quite literally making fun of people or blocking people for asking about basic safety information, but no genuinely safe venue would ever do that to you if they had their shit together. I can promise you that. It’s not safe just because they say it is. It’s not safe just because MCR is going. You can decide to go but I can promise they have no reason to give out free water or let you go to the bathroom without an extra $400. Access to shade is $1200 for fucks sake. In Vegas. Hot Vegas.

I’m a black queer woman who got fired couple months ago by new management that were targeting a lot of POCs at work, and I’m on the verge of homelessness as I ran out of my savings and did not receive government assistance yet (the process is taking longer than i was hoping for). My parents are homophobic and refuses to help me since I left their conservative and misogynistic household years ago, and my siblings ghosted for that too.
