Mostly Mycroft

Mycroft: Takes on family responsibilities while being a preteen. Visits his psychotic sister in her asylum to keep her company and give her presents despite the danger involved. Drags Sherlock out of alleys while he’s high. Uses Government resources and probably lots of money to try and keep Sherlock safe. Admits that he worries about him constantly. Visits Sherlock often. Tests and checks out potential friends to ensure they’re alright. Keeps tabs on Sherlock’s mental state. Keeps tabs on Sherlock’s friends and makes sure they’re safe while Sherlock dismantles Moriarty’s network. Plays board games with Sherlock when John isn’t speaking to him. Takes his parents to a play despite detesting doing so. Goes to a Christmas Dinner despite it really not being his thing. Tells Sherlock the loss of him would break his heart. Ensures Sherlock won’t lose his mind in prison after his brother shoots a man. Shows a strong amount of concern and love even when Sherlock is high on drugs and dismisses him. Promises he’ll always be there for Sherlock. Literally decides without even taking a moment to think about it that if it’s a choice between him living or John living, chooses John to tries to goad his brother into disliking him so it will be EASIER ON SHERLOCK when he KILLS him. Always stays by Sherlock no matter what is done to him or how much it hurts or how little recognition he gets.
