Spiritual eating: Treat eating food like love.
(Thought of this while eating a kindly served, gently warmed up Starbucks chocolate chip muffin on the subway train)
Hunger and love should take time. Slow build rather than crash and burn. It shouldn’t appear quickly and then leave you empty.
While eating, savour it. While loving, savour it. Binges and hookups are not evil but they’re not healthy or a sustainable way of life.
Refined sugar is like makeup. Dramatic drag makeup and food loaded with sugar is not for everyday nor for everyone. Sprinkling of sugar and makeup is nice in moderation. No refined sugar is au natural. Natural sugars are natural beauty.
Food and romantic love will numb pain but won’t solve emotional or mental issues. Could cause further issues due to the reason for eating and loving.
Food and love can nourish you for life.
What you eat and how (much) you eat it should be respectful as who you love and how you love them.
Craving is lust. They’re normal and not evil. Hunger is loneliness. Note: loneliness is not being alone. Being alone is the loving relationship you have with yourself. Loneliness is devoidance of love for yourself and with others. Loneliness is inevitable and is not to be avoided but to be paid attention to. Pay attention to loneliness and hunger because it teaches you to love and eat.
