Remember paraphilias are not something people chooses to have. A paraphilia is an atypical sexual or romantic interest that develops involuntarily, ones that cause distress are paraphilic disorders ones that dont are simply paraphilias, also they can be for anything not just what the "big three" are. I personally don't think people should be dehumanized simply because they have an attraction they didn't choose. Instead, we should encourage people to seek professional help if they are distressed by their attractions or believe they may be a risk towards acting on them. Having an attraction that someone cannot control is not the same as choosing to act on it. People are responsible for their actions and if they harm someone or not, but a simple attraction doesnt automatically make them harmful. This is especially important to remember when discussing pedophilia, also I'd like to add just because someone is a pedophile doesn't meant they're attracted to every single child in the world, thats a misconception also research has found that not every person with pedophilic attractions has sexually abused a child, and not every person who sexually abuses a child has a sexual attraction to children. These are related but distinct concepts, and confusing them can make it harder to understand, prevent, and help child sexual abuse effectively.
