I was thinking about Tar-Miriel (not the Zimrahil-version, in which she married Pharazon for love) and her marriage... and I wonder if she was conflicted about Sauron when he was in Numenor.
Because on the one hand her allegiance was with the Faithful, so she would have been grieved to see their persecution and what Numenor became during those days. On the other hand, if we assume that Pharazon wanted a heir to ensure his line (which one would expect from a mortal King), that entails that Miriel would be forced to perform her "duty" as his wife. But with Sauron convincing Pharazon that immortality could be attained, having a heir would no longer be necessary. If anything, Pharazon is exactly the kind of person who would fear oposition from his children and from his children's children. Not only would he not want to beget for the sake of sentimetality, but he'd be afraid to do so.
Therefore Miriel would find herself more free and rarely, if at all, at the receiving end of Pharazon's unwanted attentions. Sauron's manipulation of Pharazon would have been a curse to her land and to her subjects (so to her too in a way) but it might have also been a small blessing to her (by circumstance obviously, not by Sauron's choice). I can only imagine her having conflicting emotions about this and feeling bad, but at the same time being unable to shut down a small part of her that was grateful.
