why am i inclined to read books that cause pain:”)
coming back from the dead just to share how im questioning my reading intentions : ) I love to read and I usually speed through books I really like but once I actually finish it THE EMPTINESS AND PAIN AND SAD set in and now we have intense book hangovers that last for days ! what’s ironic is i hate the post-book blues but i also usually gravitate towards books with tragedies and generally sad endings is she ok guys i think not . maybe this is just my attachment issues surfacing LMAO
context: just finished reading addie larue and a thousand boy kisses lol the latter was not that good but we definitely cried it up in the end still
anyways hope you’re all safe and continue to wallow in the escapism books provide<33

“One must always be careful of books,” said Tessa, “and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.” [apply to @lit-society today!]

hello i just finished this book a few nights ago and pain fhdhdhd i highly HIGHLY recommend!! madeline miller did so well in making us feel that we were alongside achilles and patroclus as they grew up and overall the way the story was laid out was really good!!
what are you guys reading to keep yourselves occupied? and also, for those who have read this, tHOUGHTS?????
hi again ☺️👋been reading a lot since quarantine started. hope you’re all doing well, stay safe and stay indoors!!! please do your part ~happy reading!
An alternate cover for my wip portfolio… this is SONG OF ACHILLES by the amazing Madeline Miller.
I adore this book and CIRCE is possibly even better.
song of achilles
i would recognize him by touch alone, by smell; i would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. i would know him in death, at the end of the world.
but who did not end up sobbing after they finished this book,, i would LIKE To KnOW ncjsjdkdkff
Thoughts on the "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" series so far? Especially for those who read the books!
For the 2nd movie, I personally found that they took out the best scenes from the book😔 but what can we expect from another book-to-movie adaption.

AAAAA hi!! I reread the To All The Boys Series this summer just because and I also tried reading something very different from my usual YA contemporary books. As per my mom’s request, I read “And Then There Were None by Agatha Cristie” and ngl when I finished reading the book I was a little scared and couldn’t fall asleep::( It’s a really good murder mystery book and I never would’ve guessed the murderer oof it wus nice:> https://www.instagram.com/litpages/p/BycUIY7gblr/?igshid=1v1sdb4tpacj6
